Job Summary
A Marketing Department Coordinator works with the Business Development Manager or Marketing Department Manager to help implement the marketing plan to improve the hotel’s brand reputation.
What will my role be?
As a Marketing Department Coordinator, you work with the Business Development Manager or Marketing Department Manager to help implement the marketing plan to enhance the hotel’s brand reputation. More specifically, a marketing department coordinator performs the following tasks while respecting the highest standards:
Communicate effectively, to target markets, hotel services and amenities, and benefits, including renovations, dining options, as well as events such as conferences or banquets Work with local partners,
including local media, and maintain professional relationships with local official entities
Create and maintain a comprehensive system for managing media and marketing contacts relevant to the hotel’s target audiences
Collaborate closely with all hotel departments, actively seeking opportunities opportunities and promotions planned to address specific business challenges, as needed
Contribute to the development of promotional activities, marketing channels, and production of marketing materials for specific events
Manage and promote the hotel on websites
Work within marketing budgets using resources efficiently
Maintain a complete system for managing media and marketing contacts relevant to the hotel’s target audiences

Ability to understand key business indicators and business trends, and develop approaches to address these challenges
Mid-level IT skills
Proven organizational and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure at all times
For this position, demonstrate the ability and following distinctions would be an advantage:
Experience in the hospitality or leisure sector
Experience in marketing or a similar environment
Basic knowledge of budget and cost management
Relevant degree in marketing, business development or other relevant field from an academic institution
