Cameroon Mining Company is a leading iron ore producer in Africa. We are looking for a qualified and experienced mechanical engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, building, and testing mechanical and thermal devices and systems for our mining operations.
- Designing and developing mechanical devices and systems, such as industrial machinery, heating and cooling systems, transportation systems, and robotics equipment
- Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs and performance
- Creating plans and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) technology
- Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project
- Writing technical documentation and reports
- Ensuring that products meet compliance regulations and standards
- Collaborating with other engineers and managers to plan and optimize mining operations
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably in the mining industry
- Experience working in a mine and handling mining equipment
- Proficient in CAD, CAM, and Matlab/LabView programs
- Ability to run simulations and analyze test data
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation
- Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
