Reports to: Country Logistics Coordinator Duty
station: Mokolo
Type of contract: CDD
Duration of contract: 06 months
Availability: March 2023
Missions and responsibilities
The logistics assistant ensures the programming and coordination of logistics activities of the INTERSOS base in Mokolo:
▪ Responsible for purchasing procedures (contracts, quotes, quality and price assessments) for goods and services according to INTERSOS and donor requirements.
▪ Negotiate, monitor and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
▪ Perform market assessments and update the list of suppliers in coordination with the logistics coordinator and the administrative / financial department.
▪ Process vehicle maintenance requests and ensure the fleet is checked and maintained regularly.
▪ Monitor fuel consumption limits and usage of vehicle logbook, maintenance logbook, oil logbook and other fleet formats and templates. Calculate personal fuel consumption.
▪ Ensure vehicles are insured accordingly and report any incidents on a monthly basis.
▪ Ensure proper documentation of vehicle rental, insurance,
identification, mechanical inspection, etc.
▪ Perform a monthly physical inventory of all IT-related assets.
▪ Carry out a quarterly physical inventory of goods and furniture.
▪ Responsible for proper maintenance and monitoring of office assets and equipment
such as air conditioning, laptops, printers, etc.
▪ Ensure regular liaison with the administrative department and the logistics coordinator.
▪ Monitor guest house requirements and necessary maintenance on a weekly basis and follow up with expatriates.
▪ Organize the induction of new staff on car SOPs and the use of INTERSOS assets.
▪ Act as logistics focal point in Mokolo.
▪ Perform any other related task requested by management.
▪ Ensure the monthly inventory of logistics and program stocks.
Job requirements
Education Diploma or professional training in logistics
Experience Have a qualification and professional experience in the logistics of humanitarian NGOs
Language French
Knowledge Mastery of the computer tool MS Office Complete environment, General principles of automobile mechanics, basic knowledge of customs clearance and transport, principles of inventory, supply and fleet management
Competencies Excellent team management and business planning skills Good team spirit and conflict management
Flexibility
Excellent analytical and synthesis
skills Completed reporting skills
Initiative
Diligence in work
