ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its public and private sector partners to deliver high quality health programs, reaching all populations in need. For more than twenty-five years, ACMS has provided the people of Cameroon with comprehensive, evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria, and HIV prevention among others.

The recruiting COVID project aims to support the Cameroon Ministry of Public Health and other COVID-19 stakeholders, in the implementation of specific activities of the National COVID Vaccination Plan. This support will primarily focus on community engagement and COVID-19 vaccine demand, as well as the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccination awareness activities, including outreach vaccination and mass campaigns .
Indeed, the COVID Project implemented in the 10 regions of Cameroon aims to strengthen health systems in order to deal with COVID-19, increase the percentage of people vaccinated from COVID-19 within the target group and reduce cases. re-emergence among people aged 18 and over in countries that have adopted the Project.
Your contribution:
- Manage all monitoring and evaluation components of the project, including overseeing the development of the project monitoring and evaluation plan, annual work plans, quarterly reports and semi-annual reports;
- Participate in the design and implementation of innovative monitoring and evaluation tools to measure the impact of the project, in line with the strategic objectives and performance indicators of the project.
- Assist in the production of project data quality assessment and reports in accordance with donor and PSI rules and regulations on indicators, results and impact;
- Support the project team on a regular basis on data interpretation and promote the regular use of data quality assurance mechanisms and data validation;
- Coordinate data entry and processing and develop data analysis plan based on reporting requirements;
- Help build monitoring and evaluation capacity of local organizations and government to design and implement and monitor monitoring and evaluation activities;
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan and effectively use COVID 19 case management and surveillance data at different levels of the health system;

- Oversee the design and implementation of operational research needs for the project in the country.
- Coordinate data entry and processing and develop data analysis plan based on reporting requirements;
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan and effectively use COVID 19 case management and surveillance data at different levels of the health system;
- Contribute to the identification and analysis of risk factors related to COVID-19, social determinants interfering in the prevention and control of COVID-19 as well as that of populations at risk.
- Support the in-country project team on a regular basis on data interpretation and promote the regular use of data quality assurance mechanisms and data validation;
- Oversee the design and implementation of operational research needs for the project in the country;
- Document and disseminate good practices;
- Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

The basics :
- Master II in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Statistics, Biostatistics or any other diploma deemed equivalent;
- Five (05) years of relevant professional experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation of public health projects and programs;
- In substitution of the required diploma: Have fifteen (15) years of relevant professional experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation of public health projects and programs;
- Proven professional experience in data management and strategic communications of health information at national and international levels, preferably in the development sector;
- Have strong skills in facilitating dissemination sessions and/or sharing of research results;
- Have strong problem-solving skills;
- Have a good ability to plan and foresee potential and emerging obstacles;
- Have the ability to establish strong public relations and be comfortable communicating in a team;
- Have a high level of autonomy at work, but with a deep team spirit;
- Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision within a multicultural team;
- Demonstrate adaptability, patience, ingenuity, resilience and flexibility.
- Have results-based management skills;
- Be available to carry out regular field missions.
What would turn us on?
- Familiarity with social marketing and/or NGOs;
- Fluent in French and/or English and have a sufficient command of the other language;
- Good knowledge of computers and software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Passion for public health;
- Proven knowledge in processing and analyzing data with SPSS or R, but preferably STATA;
- Knowledge of data processing and analysis in Excel;
- Good knowledge of DHIS2;
- Experience in international donor reporting, preferably USAID.
