Monitoring – Evaluation Assistant

Duration of the contract:  According to financing

Location:  The entire extent of Cameroonian territory: The candidate will specify in his cover letter three (03) regions in order of preference

Brief job description

The Monitoring – Evaluation Assistant assists the Monitoring – Evaluation Manager with the data collection, monitoring and evaluation system.

Main powers

• Assist the Monitoring – Evaluation manager in the analysis and processing of data;

• Participate in the development and management of the information system (from collection, processing, data analysis and reporting);

• Assist in the development of the various data collection and reporting tools (Survey forms, Cartographic data collection forms, Monitoring forms, ToR, etc.) respecting the logic and orientations of the various technical and sectoral groups;

• Provide support for the organization of data collection and support field teams in data collection, verification of the functionality of the tools deployed as well as ensuring their possible updates;

• Contribute to maintaining good relations with technical and governmental partners within the framework of the activities implemented;

• Ensure good visibility of DEDI’s activities through effective information management;

• Assist in the production of required periodic reports including information notices (factsheets) and other information documents to improve the visibility of the project;

• Support the Monitoring – Evaluation manager in supervising and evaluating the performance of field teams in charge of data collection;

• Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager during the strategic planning of DEDI activities in Cameroon;

• Accomplish any other task entrusted to him/her by the hierarchy and compatible with DEDI’s mission and vision.

Profile required

Education:  Social Sciences, Statistics, Development or other relevant field;

Qualifications:  University degree or higher education (BAC+3);

Experience:   At least 2 years of experience in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics;

Other aptitudes and/or skills:  Mastery of computer tools (Excel, statistical software, etc.); be fluent in French/English, be of good character, flexible and willing to travel in the field;
