Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland is looking for a supervisory nurse for its emergency project in Kousseri.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
Plan, organize and evaluate activities concerning nursing care and associated teams, in accordance with MSF values, policies and protocols and universal health standards, in order to guarantee the quality and continuity of care and the development of action plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
     Perform the functions and tasks associated with nursing, i.e. act as a nurse when required or necessary, in order to optimize resources, providing knowledge and experience.
     Implement all hygiene protocols and procedures and verify that your team follows the same standards, in order to guarantee the quality of care and service in your specialty.

 

 

 

Organize and coordinate the activities of your team (weekly program, annual leave, absences, etc.), evaluate their performance, define and cover staff training needs in order to ensure coverage of human resource needs and maintain a high level of quality.
Carry out and/or supervise the management of the pharmacy (decentralized) and medical equipment (medication orders, monitoring of reserves, storage conditions, inventories, monitoring of expired medicines and their destruction, consumption of medicines, etc.) in his department, in order to efficiently meet material needs.
Guarantee that all personnel using medical devices are qualified and trained. Ensures that cleaning (user protocol) regarding medical devices is followed. Reports medical device malfunctions to the project’s biomedical department.
Carry out and/or coordinate administration (exit, transfer formalities, etc.), data and information collection tasks (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.), and prepare regular reports in order to have up-to-date and reliable information on day-to-day activity in the project, on performance and on results and thus help in decision-making.
