PROJECT SUMMARY
The National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon (CENC) is the institution that brings together all the Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church in Cameroon. She is a public juridical person whose mission is to continue to bear witness to the love of Christ to all men so that they may have life in abundance (cf. Jn 10:10). To achieve its objectives in Cameroon, the CENC has within its ranks the Catholic Organization for Health in Cameroon (OCASC). Its mission is to promote the integral health of man, and especially of the poorest, the Catholic Christian ethics in the field of health. It also ensures the health of populations and supports communities, in particular the most disadvantaged, for the promotion of life. It guarantees people the access to quality medicines. It improves preventive, curative and promotional care. It promotes the integral health of man.

SUMMARY OF THE POST
The National Coordinator of OCASC has missions of coordination, administration and representation of the Catholic Organization for Health in Cameroon (OCASC).

Main tasks and responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Secretary General of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon, the The National Coordinator of OCASC has the following responsibilities:
1. Coordination of the dioceses and health facilities of the OCASC network
• Ensure the general administration of the activities of the organs of the
OCASC network.
• Consolidate the OCASC budget from the budgets of the various organs.
• Accompany the diocesan coordinations in their activities.
• Participate in the harmonization of the intervention policy of the dioceses in the field of health.
2. Representation of the OCASC in all acts of civil, national and international life
Sit on the board of directors of the structures of the OCASC.
Represent OCASC with external partners including the Ministry of Health and its partner organizations.
Ensure the secretariat of the Episcopal Commission for Health.
Document visits and meetings through reports. Review partner reports and provide constructive feedback in a timely manner.
Organize and participate in periodic internal and external evaluations.
3. Management, administration, human and financial resources management
Prepare the draft budget, the draft program of activity, the activity report and the financial report.
Guarantee the proper execution of the unit’s expenses
Participate in strategic analysis and planning.
Support the development of detailed implementation plans, tracking and reporting tools with unit staff.
Assist the CENC in strategic decision-making.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• Doctorate in medicine, a master’s degree in public health would be a plus.
• Experience of at least 10 years in a similar position.
• Experience working in a diocese would be an asset.
• Experience in project management. Experience in a health project would be a plus.
• Knowledge of the national Catholic health system would be an asset.
Personal skills
• Very good skills in strategy, analysis, systems thinking, problem solving, with the ability to see the big picture, exercise good judgment and make sound decisions.
• Very good relationship management skills. Ability to build relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally. Strategic in how you approach each relationship.
• Ability to lead diverse/multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, resourceful, solutions and results oriented.
Foreign language required/desired: Must be bilingual with a working knowledge of English and French.
