Research Assistant in Public Policy Analysis

Positioning in the organization Under the responsibility of the Head of the Research Department Firm
Main tasks As a research assistant, your task is to ensure that all information contained in the research databases is up-to-date and accurate. You will also be responsible for handling samples from experiments and implementing test methods on these samples so that they can give us better results!
Activities and Tasks • Maintain quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and results
• Schedule and conduct interviews and data collection
• Analyze data using various statistical methods
• Write reports to summarize findings data and the implications of the results
• Support in the organization of workshops and conferences and other scientific events
• Write blogs and short articles for online publication
• Contribution to the preparation of scientific work
• Animation of social media pages and the site office internet
• Any other task/activity defined by the employer in relation to the duties of the position or proposed by the person concerned

Conditions and place of work • The research assistant will be based in Douala with occasional trips to Yaoundé
Job profile
Skills required • Student in training in the social sciences: political science, economics, sociology, public law, anthropology, or development studies in general.
• You have experience in research (operational or fundamental)
You hold a Master’s degree and are enrolled in a Doctoral thesis or a Research Master’s in one of the above disciplines
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills to share information with key project researchers. You demonstrate excellent critical thinking to support your research and pay attention to detail to ensure that your research materials are always accurate.
