Call for applications for the recruitment of a project manager
The Support Center for Integrated Participatory Local Development (CADEPI) is a national NGO whose mission is to promote dialogue and consultation between stakeholders for the sustainable management of Natural Resources (RN) and the improvement of basic social services (water, health and education).
In partnership with GIZ through its Project to Support the Socio-economic Resilience of Vulnerable Young People (PARSE III), CADEPI is implementing the Project to Strengthen the Socio-economic Resilience of Vulnerable Young People in the Far North Region (PRESIJEUN) for a period of 12 months. It is in this context that he recruits one (01) project manager with the aim of coordinating the activities of said project.

 

 




 

1. Summary presentation of the project
PRESIJEUN aims to improve the socio-economic resilience of vulnerable young people in its target municipalities. Three (03) municipalities are targeted in the Far North Region: Koza, Cuidiguis and Bogo.
2. Job description
2.1 Job designation: Project manager
2.2 Start date: November 10, 2023
2.3 Place of assignment: Maroua
2.4 Duration of the project: 12 months
2.5 Missions

 

 

The project manager’s main mission is coordination and monitoring and evaluation of project activities during the implementation period in collaboration with the Technical Coordination of CADEPI. To this end, he will be responsible for:
Ensuring the proper management of the technical and financial activities of the project;
Please maintain cohesion within the project team;
Ensure the proper management of the resources made available to the project; Maintain ongoing communication with the donor. He is placed under the hierarchical authority of the Technical Coordinator.
2.6 Main tasks and responsibilities of the project manager
Coordinate all project interventions;
Develop and submit quarterly work plans and quality activity reports; Supervise and evaluate the work of other project staff under his responsibility; Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the project;
Ensure the interface between the management of CADE Pl and CIZ, including those involved in the project, Participate in the various meetings relating to the Project;
Ensure the rational use of funds made available to the Project;
Identify difficulties and propose solutions to improve the implementation of interventions;
Ensure the implementation of all activities agreed in the agreement by taking part in it (training activities,
Carry out the identification and documentation of good practices;
Prepare and support the missions of partners falling within the framework of the Project;
Ensure the implementation of the complaints management mechanism;
Ensure rational and efficient management of the resources and equipment made available; Participate in training, periodic meetings, reviews and any other task deemed important by the project in achieving its objectives;
Perform any other task deemed relevant to the success of the interventions.

 

 

3 Qualification, skills and experience required
Hold a Bac + 5 with at least one technical specialty (agriculture, livestock, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, etc.);
Have at least 5 years of professional experience
Knowledge of animation techniques
Knowledge of the problem of socio-professional integration of young people in Cameroon;
Mastery of communication techniques;
Ability to work effectively in a team;
Ability to establish strong collaboration with local authorities;
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts; Good knowledge of the Far North region;
Ability to write technical reports;
Ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues from different cultures;
Ability to work under pressure;
Mandatory mastery of local languages;
Mastery of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet;
Perfect command, written and oral, of French and/or English.
3. Job requirement

4. Conditions of employment
4.1 — Type of contract:
The contract is of the private law type, full-time, of a fixed duration, entered into between the person recruited and CADEPI.
4.2 — Duration of the contract
The duration of the contract is twelve (12) months. renewable.
4.3 The recruited person must arrange accommodation in Maroua.
5. Instructions for Submitting Applications

A cover letter (two pages maximum) addressed to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CADEPI;
. A curriculum vitae (CV) (five pages maximum excluding publications when relevant) detailing your educational background. diplomas obtained, all professional experience in reverse chronological order. language skills and any other professional title (or certification). All supporting documents for the information contained in the CV must be produced (all diplomas, certificates or attestations of work and internship, etc.) attached to the emails;
3. The names and contact details (telephone numbers and email addresses) of three professional references of hierarchical people who have worked with the candidate;
4. A medical certificate dated less than 3 months;
5. A legalized copy of the required diploma.
