SUMMARY OF POSITIONS
Under the general authority of the Director of the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office for Central Africa based in Yaoundé and the direct supervision of the Regional Communication and Information Adviser, the contractor undertakes to carry out the work related to the installation of radio equipment of the Waza community radio.
To do this, he must:
Ensure the installation of a transparent bay window (double glazing) of the dimension 120cm x 90cm with a glass of 06 or 08mm thick;
Before installing the equipment, check the electrical installations;
Ensure the installation of a building security system and equipment if necessary by creating an earth well.
Check the equipment delivered and draw up a report which will be signed by the contractor and the Chairman of the management committee or Station Manager of the said radio station;
Ensure the installation of production and broadcasting equipment;
Check and verify the range of radio coverage;
After the installations, check and control the remaining equipment if necessary, draw up a report which will be signed by the contractor and the Chairman of the committee or Station Manager of the said radio;
Ensure the proper functioning of the installed equipment;
At the end of the work, submit to the UNESCO Office a detailed technical report with an equipment installation diagram.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Broadcast engineer or similar.
Professional experience and skills
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in community radio installations;
Be a Radiocommunications / Telecommunications and Mobile Networks Engineer;
Have a good experience in the installation and maintenance of radio equipment including IP link;
Have proven experience in the installation of radio production and broadcasting equipment.
Languages
Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of French or English and good knowledge of the other language.
Knowledge of a local language will be an asset.
