Context

Impact Santé Afrique (ISA ) is a non-governmental organization based in Cameroon whose main objective is to contribute to improving the health of populations by implementing transformative and sustainable programs (for more information, visit www.impactsante .org ). ISA is looking for a Project Manager – advocacy within the framework of the “ Equity Access Malaria” project funded by the Initiative over a period of 3 years ( November 6, 2023 – October 31, 2026 ), renewable. This project aims to strengthen community engagement in the fight against malaria .

Main missions :

The main mission of the Project Manager – Advocacy will be the development and implementation of the advocacy plans for this project. He or she will lead the implementation of integrated initiatives in policy analysis and engagement in advocacy, campaigning and influencing work at the district level to achieve significant impact and thereby reinforce the objectives of the project.

 




 

Responsibilities: Advocacy, program design and implementation

Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, he will be responsible for:

  • Ensure the implementation of project advocacy activities;
  • Ensure the organization of meetings and workshops;
  • Ensure the production of advocacy documents taking into account the project objectives;
  • Ensure advocacy for the mobilization of local associations, local community leaders and the specific engagement of vulnerable groups mainly in the 4 districts (Mokolo, Doume, Bafoussam and Maroua);
  • Implement activities related to advocacy in favor of the fight against malaria;
  • Support the advocacy team in developing their capacities in advocacy, program/project planning and management, monitoring and accountability.
  • Develop advocacy technical notes and content of other advocacy tools;
  • Prepare Power Point presentations and other key documents for leaders.
  • Participate in strategic and monitoring meetings;
  • Write weekly, monthly and annual activity reports;
  • Any other tasks assigned by ISA as part of this project.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in communications, advocacy, social sciences or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Or a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience in the field of communications or advocacy;
  • Ability to work in an international/multicultural environment;
  • Excellent writing skills and good oral expression in English and French;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to produce professional documents in line with international standards and participate in discussions and debates;
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and different stakeholders such as partners, community members, donors, civil society, etc.;
  • Positive and dynamic attitude;
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize one’s own work and that of others;
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
