For our National Program Office in Cameroon, we are looking for a
dynamic and committed Intern, in Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PSEA).
Reports to: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist, WWF CCPO
Location: Yaoundé
Duration: Seven (07) months
Main Duties
Under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist, the
Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PSEA) will contribute to the development and
improvement of tools, techniques, guidelines and training materials for
program development, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning
to advance results-based programming.

Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PSEA) Intern Main Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in providing substantial input and facilitating the development of
consolidated high quality PSEA systems, results-oriented, for CHC and its projects;
Contribute to analytical and evaluation functions by facilitating intra-project coordination
of reporting format and monitoring, including the development of reporting formats
and frequency of reporting and distribution schedules (monitoring and trends of
overall program PSEA performance);
Contribute to the identification and provision of terms of reference for
internal and external evaluators to carry out specific technical and professional evaluations
, in accordance with international standards of probity and good practice;
Contribute to field projects by supporting local communities to identify and
prioritize livelihood strategies as well as develop and implement criteria
/protocols for monitoring and evaluating effective community involvement
and institutions in integrated conservation and development activities at
project sites, in line with the results expectations of
WWF’s global PSEA system;
Contribute to the review of the quality of existing social and economic data in
the project area, collection methods and the extent to which they will provide
good baseline statistics for impact assessment;
Contribute to the development of a project-related capacity building plan for
PSEA and reporting, organize and undertake trainings
with stakeholders, including primary stakeholders, on skills
PSEA, including participatory aspects;
Contribute to conducting monitoring visits and progress review consultations
on a periodic six-month basis, as well as providing guidance to ensure
PSEA plans are consistent with WWF guidelines and policies ;
Contribute to the development and/or reformulation of existing project proposals;
In collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, review, produce and disseminate
technical documents for WWF-CCPO and its projects.
Profile
Qualifications required
At least a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or in a field related to development or
in conservation, or an equivalent level of education.
Skills and Competencies Required:
Strong analytical skills, including quantitative and
qualitative data analysis;
Conscientious, with an excellent sense of judgment;
Excellent communication skills and team spirit;
Regional and cultural knowledge and sensitivity; Ability to thrive in an environment where tasks follow each other at a
rapid pace;
Good understanding of the cultural and social environment of the region and ability to
live and work successfully in this environment;
Willingness and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people;
Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other
project staff;
Computer literate and strong organizational skills.

External: In collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, work with all program
partners (local communities, local NGOs, government – MINFOF, private sector, international NGOs, etc.) on the collection, provision and analysis of data as well as development and conservation issues. This job description covers the main tasks and captures the spirit of the type of tasks that are proactively anticipated by staff. Other duties may be assigned if
necessary according to organizational needs.
