Al condoms Cameroon is a   dynamic, non-profit association of young,   supportive   sex workers, injecting drug users and vulnerable people created in 2012, with headquarters in Douala located in Bonaberi in the Douala 4th district and a representation in the south/west in the city of Buea.

Job Description of Psychologist

Targets: Patients: Shelter beneficiaries, key population target and organization staff

tasks to be carried out by the health provider at the organization

Assembly and security of the patient file:

–          Ensure the development of psychological files for patients;

–          Ensure the completion of patients’ psychological forms;

–          Ensure the opening of patients’ psychological files;

–          Ensure the security of patient information;

–          Ensure the confidentiality of information contained in patient files.

Monitoring and psychological support for the patient:

–          Ensure the organization of individual psychological interviews with patients;

–          Ensure the organization of collective psychological interviews with patients;

–          Ensure the organization of the diagnosis of the mental and psychological suffering of patients;

–          Ensure the organization of evaluations and psychological assessments of patients;

–          Ensure the organization of behavioral and cognitive therapies (CBT).

Preparation for self- reconstruction

–          Ensure the preparation of patients to rebuild a new life ;

–          Ensure the acquisition of new motivations for patients;

–          Bring patients to accept themselves and their own reality;

–          Leading patients to discover their potential, their capacity and their know-how;

–          Encourage patients to identify and assess their needs for training and/or socio-professional integration and/or socio-economic integration;

–          Ensure the follow-up and accompaniment of the life projects of the patients with a view to their autonomy .

Coordination:

–          Participate in monthly Shelter coordination meetings;

–          Writing monthly monitoring reports and psychological support for patients;

–          Advice and guidance from the Shelter manager.

–          Participation in weekly meetings; monthly and quarterly

–          Provide a weekly report; monthly and quarterly

Conditions of access to employment

Bac + 3 in psychology

Have 2 years of work experience in the field

Be of good moral character and have the ability to adapt to the employment environment
