RECRUITMENT OF ONE (01) REGIONAL_NORTH_CAMEROON COORDINATOR
CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION
The AFH is a secular, apolitical and non-profit Association. This is an Association
which has a legal existence. It is made up of a staff of dynamic young people who
wish as much as possible to impact the lives of needy, disadvantaged and
vulnerable people by bringing positive change to their lives and daily lives. It is with this in
mind that it wishes to create a base in Garoua to recruit a staff who will be responsible
for establishing the AFH in the region.
Thus, the AFH aims to: “Contribute to improving the living conditions of
vulnerable populations by providing nutritional, material, health, educational, financial solutions
, economic strengthening,
psychosocial support, legal support, etc. So that these populations are able to cope with
daily social difficulties and achieve a good level of social resilience.”
In these specific areas, the AFH carries out basic activities in particular: Health:
Assisting vulnerable children, adolescents and adults having difficulties in
health care. Psychosocial, material, nutritional monitoring and support, etc.

Education: Promote the schooling of vulnerable children, by providing
households with difficulties in sending their children to school, by granting payment
of school fees and school supplies. By counseling children on
strategies for academic success; also to parents on positive parenting, for
good general monitoring of their children etc. Provide training in small trades to
vulnerable young people and adolescents, and ensure their socio-professional integration through self-
employment. Economy: Provide various support, particularly in the context of
income-generating activities (AGR). To make vulnerable individuals and households
economically resilient.
NB: The target populations within the framework of AFH activities are (refugees,
internally displaced persons, victims of war, people living with disabilities
, people suffering from specific illnesses such as HIV, etc., social minorities
, and people who have suffered various forms of violence).
POSITION:
(01) Regional Coordinator of North Cameroon on behalf of the
Force Humanitaire Association.
Reports: To the Central Office / National President and to the
National
Location: Garoua – North – Cameroon.
Duration: 06 months, possibly renewable
Missions and responsibilities:
The Regional Coordinator will be responsible for:
Developing effective strategies for launching activities
Coordinating the programming of activities and monitoring their implementation
Identifying and designing opportunities, activities and partnerships
Coordinate the activities of volunteers and the entire team in the region
Lead coordination meetings, and various consultations
Promote the Association to partners
Search for financial partners (legal and natural persons)
Ensure good documentation and good archiving
Coordinate awareness activities (workshops, seminars, conferences,
round tables, educational talks, etc.)
Work in synergy and with good team spirit
Validate the reports activities, meetings etc.
Create and monitor action plans.
PROFILE
– Be at least 25 years old and at most 35 years old.
– Have at least a Bachelor’s degree or any other equivalent diploma, preferably
in sociology; psychology, humanitarian action, law, human resources management
, economics, in the medical field, public health etc.
– Have experience in community and/or humanitarian activities
(would be an asset)
– Good knowledge of IT tools
– Be available, proactive and committed
– Have a strong capacity for adaptation
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Capacity to manage several tasks or workloads
– Good attention to detail to be able to analyze situations
– Know how to demonstrate rigor and organization
– Perfect command, written and oral, of French and/or English
– Speak one local languages of the area of intervention (would be an asset)
– Residing in the area of intervention
NB: For a start, the Staff will carry out the activities on a voluntary basis, because the AFH
is a young Association which is still finding its bearings in the
financial framework. However, after financial growth following various
activities and financing, bonuses or fees, or salaries will be paid to them.
