Recruitment Notice: REGIONAL MONITORING-EVALUATION ASSISTANT

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 

ALTERNATIVES-Cameroon is the Association for Freedom, Tolerance, Expression and Respect for People of Indigent Nature or Victims of Social Exclusion. The Association promotes the defense of human rights, is non-profit, governed by Law No. 90/053. It has been legally recognized since October 27, 2006 by the Prefecture of Wouri (Declaration n°204/RDDA/C19/BAPP). Since 2008 we have opened a center called “Centre Médical Access” in order to advocate accessibility to HIV information, prevention and treatment of this infection. 

In order to carry out its missions within the framework of the New Financing Mechanism of the Global Fund to Fight Tuberculosis, HIV and Malaria, implemented in Cameroon by CARE CAMEROUN and implemented by the sub-recipient “GIZ”, ALTERNATIVES-Cameroon partner in this project as coordination of the Littoral, South-West, North-West and West regions; launches a call for applications for the recruitment of personnel from the aforementioned regions, within the framework of this project:

 REGIONAL/Coastal, South-West, North-West and West MONITORING-EVALUATION ASSISTANT

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Focal Point; he/she will have to fulfill the following missions and responsibilities:

–  Assist the regional monitoring and evaluation focal point

–  Assist in the collection and analysis of regional project data

–  Assist in the design of monitoring and evaluation tools

–  Very good leadership and coordination skills 

–  Ability to write technical reports 

–  Very good leadership and coordination skills 

–  Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures

Profile and Requirements:

–  Bac + 2 years in economics, management, business law, social sciences, monitoring and evaluation or in a related field

–  Minimum 01 years of professional experience including 01 year of relevant previous professional experience, particularly in the context of projects financed by international donors or NGOs

–  Have worked in a similar position

–  Practical knowledge of the use of software dedicated to project management (ACCESS, EXCEL, EPI DATA, etc.)

–  Sense of organization, analytical rigor and respect of the deadlines required for the production and transmission of documents

–  Have a good knowledge of HIV, tuberculosis, malaria and other related topics;

–  Be in accordance with the statutes and internal regulations of ALTERNATIVES Cameroon

–  Speak and write fluently either French and/or English

–  Be in non-judgment and confidentiality

–  Knowledge in community projects (NGOs/OBCs/OBFs)

–  The incumbent of this position must be able to work independently and under pressure. 

Duration of the contract: 10 months trial period including

Salary intention: According to salary scale and budget availability

Job location: Coastline, North West, South West and West

Starting date: March 2023 upon signature of the contract
