Brief job description

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of people and property on the site to which he/she is assigned.

Main powers

• Ensure the safety of persons and the preservation of property regardless of the nature of the risk (force majeure exempt);

• Welcome, monitor and control access to the work site;

• Keep the various staff and guest identification registers and grant access to the building only to formally identified persons;

• Carry out surveillance rounds on the site, outside the buildings and inside the offices if necessary; • Assess the appropriate actions or the means to be triggered according to the situations, according to the established instructions.

• Ensure that everyone in the workplace respects the safety rules;

• Write the security log to report the events that have occurred (anomalies, incidents, etc.);

• Participate in rescue operations in the event of an accident or exceptional event;

• Alert, guide and facilitate the work of intervention teams in the event of an accident;

• Report to the hierarchy immediately, any dangerous or potentially dangerous event, controllable or not, affecting the safety of people and property of the organization;

• Accomplish any other task entrusted to him by the hierarchy and compatible with DEDI’s mission and vision.

Profile required

Training:  Security, Protection, Defense, Martial Arts or other relevant field

Diplomas:  First Cycle Study Certificate (BEPC); Probatory or Baccalaureate appreciated;

Experience:  At least 2 years of experience in the field of security

Other Abilities and/or Competencies:  Vigilance is a must; be fluent in French/English, be of good character, flexible and willing to work day and night.
