JOB OFFER: SENIOR PLANT PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN – ABK COCOA FARM

As part of monitoring its activities, ABK COCOA FARM is recruiting a SENIOR PLANT PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Missions
• Develop and monitor plant production in greenhouses and market gardens (detailed annual work plans with monitoring-evaluation indicators)
• Implement implement quality control of production and put in place procedural manuals for greenhouse and market gardening plant production in line with the entrepreneurial vision of the company ABK Cocoa Farm • Ensure the productivity and profitability of production sites • Design
and

ensure the implementation of an irrigation system suitable for cocoa and accompanying crops
• Develop a crop fertilization strategy and ensure compliance
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in force in plant production and animal
• Ensure training and retraining of employees in good agronomic practices
• Manage a team of agricultural employees
• Support the sales force as a technical expert
• Prepare an annual action plan in terms of greenhouse plant production and market gardening with monitoring-evaluation indicators
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget to support the implementation of the action plan
• Design a training schedule for appropriation of procedure manuals
• Design and ensure the implementation of a crop fertilization plan (choice of organic fertilizers, organization and planning of fertilizations, negotiation with suppliers)
• Any other task/activity defined by the employer

Internally with the services:

• Professional associations (CICC, ONCC, agricultural cooperatives)
• Public structures and their divisions (Ministries of agriculture, livestock, fishing and animal industries, environment, municipalities, IRAD, SODECAO, etc.)
• Traditional chiefdoms and community leaders rural
• Audit consultancy companies

Position based in Nkoteng (with compulsory residence in Nkoteng)
Regular travel to farms, to suppliers and other stakeholders

Required skills
• mastery and experience in greenhouse and market garden production
• proven experience in agro-industry with a strong taste for the field.
• You have acquired this experience in plant production, ideally with an agro-industrialist, in the cultivation of cocoa, plantain or an agricultural research institution (IRAD, CARBAP, FASA) • You are enthusiastic, autonomous and organized
( e). You are passionate about the plant environment; you have a strong taste for innovation and research. This position offers significant autonomy to take on major challenges.
• Motorcycle and/or car driving required: Motorcycle license or Category B license

Profile
• Higher Agricultural Technician;
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position;
• You have lived and worked in a rural area and have perfect knowledge of greenhouse and market gardening;
• You are enthusiastic, autonomous and organized. You are passionate about the development of Africa
