The HEALTH AND HUMAN RIGHTS CAMEROON Organization, abbreviated “2HRC”, is a Cameroonian organization for participation in development through the promotion of education, health and employment of vulnerable groups as well as the fight for respect human rights without any discrimination. It is a non-profit association whose creation finds its essence in the desire and commitment of a group of dynamic young people to put an end to the evils which undermine Cameroonian society and elsewhere. It is therefore a question of supporting international organizations and the Cameroonian government in the implementation of specific programs and projects in favor of populations most exposed to risks, particularly in the areas of human rights and health.
JOB TITLE: Shelter Manager Officer
Duration of employment: 12 months renewable after evaluation, a trial period of at least one month will be observed.
Objective of the position
The Shelter Manager Officer will have to under the supervision of the Executive Director:
Planning and organization of the activities of the Shelter monitoring and operation of the Shelter selection and accommodation of residents organization of moments of entertainment and reconstruction activity check-UP of the apartment (individual hygiene and environment) prevention of violence and human rights violations identification of needs (training, education, health, job search) of residents family mediation. Carry out mobilization and awareness activities on GBV;
Provide the right information about violence to beneficiaries;
Organize and carry out GBV prevention activities aimed at the target beneficiaries of
HRGP/CHILL projects;
:
• Participate in weekly consortium and other project-related meetings;
Ensure the completion of the various project tools;
Document GBV;
Ensure legal oversight
Intervene in any other activity where their skills are necessary.
JOB PROFILE
Education Secondary level training (at least Baccalaureate level) and legal training would be an asset.
Required experience Prior experience of at least two years in GBV prevention activities,
Relevant experience working in the project’s target community; The direction of the organisation ;
Good morals;
Have a spirit of confidentiality;
The ability to work in a team;
A sense of initiative;
The capacity for judgment;
Perfect command of the French language and good knowledge of English;
Mastery of spreadsheet and word processing software;
Have the ability to work under pressure.

Specific leadership and social relations skills Being a good communicator, receptive, conciliatory, slow to anger, sense of innovation, ready to work under pressure and capacity for anticipation.
