*Recruitment notice: SOCIAL ECONOMIST TO WORK WITH THE DOUALA CITY COUNCIL*
1- Main missions e Intervene with families and individuals to support them in managing their budget, in the search for employment, and in accessing rights,
• carry out studies and research on the different facets of the social economy, in particular the social impact, the circular economy, e evaluate public policies in terms of social development, the fight against poverty, professional integration,
• design and implement social economy projects, whether related to social entrepreneurship, professional integration, social housing, etc.
2. Required diploma
• The applicant must hold a Diploma in economics, applied economic sciences, or related disciplines, (Bac + 3)
3- Experience
• A minimum professional experience of two (02) years in the field is required
4- Requirements and skills have an understanding of the issues related to poverty, inequalities, social exclusion, health, education, etc.
  have the ability to integrate perspectives from other fields such as sociology, psychology, private law have the skills to analyze economic data, public policies, social programs, and synthesize complex information, have the ability to present analyses, explain economic concepts, collaborate with various actors (government, associations, businesses, etc.), have the Motivation to contribute to the improvement of living conditions and the resolution of social problems.
5- Age requirements
Be between 25 and 40 years old.

COMPOSITION OF THE FILE, DEADLINE AND PLACE OF SUBMISSION
1 – Composition of the file
The file includes.
– A handwritten job application written in French or English, addressed to the Mayor of the City of Douala, stamped at the current rate (01 tax stamp and 01 municipal stamp),
– A Curriculum Vitae (CV),
– A cover letter,
– A photocopy of the birth certificate dated less than three (03) months;
– A photocopy of the reference diploma dated less than three (03) months.
Copies of supporting documents for professional experience,
A photocopy of the National Identity Card or valid passport.
2 – Deadline and place of submission
Complete files will be received every working day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from May 16 to 30, 2025 at the Urban Community Mail Service.
The Mayor of the City will communicate the final results by press and posting.
