CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF A TECHNICAL ASSISTANT CONSULTANT FOR THE EPIC PROJECT
Who are we ?
The Cameroonian Association for Social Marketing (ACMS), member of the PSI network is a non-governmental organization under Cameroonian law whose main mission is to improve in a sustainable and measurable way the social situation of the Cameroonian population and to promote the health and family prosperity. Thus, ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its partners in the public and private sectors to offer high quality health programs, reaching all populations in need. For more than twenty-five years, ACMS has provided the people of Cameroon with comprehensive, evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria, and HIV prevention among others.

The EPIC project, which is recruiting, aims to prevent, prepare, respond and strengthen health systems to fight against COVID-19 and reduce cases of re-emergence.
Indeed, the EPIC Project is implemented in four (04) regions of Cameroon, namely the Far North, the North, Adamaoua and the East.
The oxygen component of the project has four strategic objectives which are:
To improve the policy, governance and financing frameworks for medical oxygen in Cameroon;
Improve the availability of medical oxygen and equipment in health facilities in Cameroon;
Improve the management and quality of care for hypoxemic patients in Cameroon;
Improve the data management system for the management of hypoxemia in Cameroon.
Your Contribution:
Contribute to the preparation of donor technical reports;
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the EpiC Project action plan in accordance with validated strategies;
Maintain excellent working relationships with in-country stakeholders;
Contribute to the development and revision of relevant project documents and publications and ensure their validation and dissemination in collaboration with the MINSANTE and PSI guidelines;
Undertake regular trips to project implementation regions to provide capacity development and guidance to staff and monitor activities highlighting implementation challenges and proposing solutions;
Write and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports to the project coordinator;
Contribute to knowledge creation and sharing by synthesizing and documenting results, lessons learned, successes and best practices, strategies and approaches;
Support the Project Coordinator in providing strategic leadership to ensure that project operations are aligned with government priorities and contractual terms agreed with collaborating partners;
Support the Project Coordinator in maintaining strong and transparent operational and programmatic controls, and adapt project implementation based on continuous analysis of project data to ensure targeted results are achieved;
Support the coordinator to develop strategic and quarterly operational plans and implement a performance monitoring plan;
Use lessons learned from past activities and beneficiary feedback to revise strategies and action plans accordingly to promote program quality and project strengthening activities;
Act as an ambassador for the project with the government, local communities and the scientific community, and play a key role in sharing knowledge and experiences with other stakeholders;
Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to develop frameworks and effectively track key statistics against targets, regularly review and analyze data to make adjustments to project implementation;
Contribute to the adoption of innovative monitoring and evaluation solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency;

The Basics:
BAC+5 in public health, project management, nursing sciences;
Three (3) years of relevant professional experience in the management of Public Health projects;
Have skills in results-based project management;
Have a good knowledge of the health system in Cameroon;
Have analytical, report writing and editing skills;
Ability to track project results and expenditures against work plans;
What would interest us?

Possess the ability to maintain working relationships in a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment while being sensitive and respectful of diversity;
Demonstrate creativity and innovation in his work and demonstrate his sense of integrity;

Fluent in French and/or English and have sufficient ability to work in the other language;
Good command of computers and software (Word, Power Point, Excel)
Passion for public health;
Available to carry out regular field missions.
Familiarity with social marketing and/or NGOs;
