For our National Program Office in Cameroon, we are looking for an Administrative Assistant Intern, dynamic and committed, passionate about planning and organization management, business management, holding a schedule, and having a passion for networking. This position is perfect for someone looking to join a well-known international conservation organization and establish a reliable bridge to build their career.
Location: Yaoundé Duration: 03 months
Main responsibilities
a) Administration
• Prioritize, organize, manage in a timely manner and schedule calls, meetings and appointments on behalf of the Director and Manager, which includes effectively setting priorities and resolving related conflicts and competing demands ;
• Organize technical meetings on behalf of the director or manager, take minutes of the meetings, if necessary;
• Draft and/or finalize correspondence on a range of topics on behalf of the Director/Manager;
• Participates regularly in the transmission, processing and handling of sensitive, diverse and confidential information;
• Draft enquiries, reports and documents as required.
• Maintain filing and archiving systems;
• Plan and ensure the travel of the Congo Basin Conservation Director and the Financial Manager of the TRIDOM Landscape;
• that the effective logistical elements (flights, visas, travel advance, travel request, invitation letters, hotels, etc.) are up to date;
• Effectively provide general research support and use all relevant computer software to retrieve, maintain and manipulate data as required. b) Coordination • Respond independently to extensive and diverse inquiries;
• Facilitate information sharing and lesson learning within WWF Congo Basin countries by providing:
• regular updates for internal communication tools (calendar of meetings and events; updates travel and leave
• contact database, directories
c) Perform any other task requested by the department.
Profile
Qualifications required
• University degree in administration or equivalent in a related field;
• Minimum 01 year of experience as an assistant in a management function, preferably in an international organization / company.
