UN.E (01) COOK.E (MATERNITY LEAVE REPLACEMENT) M/F – EXTERNAL

Contract duration:                         Temporary Replacement (03 months)

Start date:                              December 19, 2022

Supervised by: Deputy Head of Human Resources Department

 

 

Purpose of the position:

Prepare meals and maintenance of the kitchen in particular and the Guest House in general.

More specifically, she/he will:

Objective 1  : Buy the products needed to prepare meals:

Activities  :

• Establish a shopping list to do according to the menu of the day;
• Assess fuel needs and monitor consumption;
• Make purchases for the preparation of meals according to the envelope received;
• Control food quality.

Objective 2  : Make meals for the house team:

Activities  :

–         Prepare meals in accordance with hygiene rules;

–         Clean, disinfect and fill the water filters.

 

 

 

Objective 3  : Maintain all the equipment of the kitchen and the guest house in general

  Activities  :

–         Do the dishes;

–         Clean and disinfect the refrigerator once a week;

–         Wash the equipment and the kitchen daily after use;

–         Ensure the maintenance of the guest house.

Diploma/Experiences

• At least CEP and Cooking diploma or equivalent professional experience;
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a similar position;
• Experience in Humanitarian NGOs would be an asset.

Required Skills

Knowledge :Good notions of hygiene –Know how to read and/or write French or English.

Know-how : Cooking skills (quality and diversity of Meals)

Know how to be  : Good interpersonal skills – Integrity-sense of organization- communication skills
