Gross salary of the category: According to the current salary scale of Action Against Hunger

FIELD OF INTERVENTION: Coordination based in Yaoundé with frequent trips to the field

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:  Implementation of a capacity building project on the integration of protection in nutritional health at ACF. Contribute to the quality, appropriateness and development of the PiiNS project in Cameroon while ensuring consistency with its regional and global scope.

OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB

Objective 1: Project management

Objective 2: Coordination and consultation

Objective 3: Protection capacity

building Objective 4: Development of the PIINS framework and field management

DIPLOMAS/LEVEL OF STUDY/EXPERIENCE:

– Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the following fields: international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law or another relevant field of social sciences. –

Demonstrable professional experience of at least 3 years in management, protection project coordination and implementation, including child protection in emergencies (CPiE) and/or gender-based violence in emergencies (GBViE), protection monitoring , or any other similar expertise

– Experience in conducting risk analysis and field studies: development of tools, data collection and analysis

– Humanitarian experience would be an asset.

 REQUIRED SKILLS :

– Demonstrable ability to work in difficult conditions, in high pressure situations and to manage complex and ambiguous situations;

– Understanding of the overall humanitarian coordination architecture, the interdependence of its elements and how to apply them to protection coordination, CP/GBV work in areas of responsibility;

– Knowledge and understanding of CP and AoR GBV and information management, MEAL and related reporting tools and frameworks.

– Knowledge and previous work in the field of Nutritional security is an asset for this position.

– Language requirements: Fluency in French is required. Knowledge of English an asset.

– Able to analyze and produce summary documents

– Able to lead a meeting and a working group

– Able to build and lead a training session

– Able to speak in public

– Ability to be creative and/or make proposals

– Able to listen, adapt their style of communication and establish a relationship of trust with their interlocutors

– Able to represent ACF internally and externally

– Able to recruit, motivate, evaluate and develop employees on internship, work-study and/or volunteers

– Ability to plan activities, lead, delegate, persuade, involve (give the floor, listen), empower, trust.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE
