For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for:
A TRAINEE MONITORING EVALUATION ACCOUNTABILITY LEARNING (SERA)
Base of attachment: Yaoundé

Contract duration: 3 months renewable 01 times

I. CONTEXT
Action Against Hunger (ACF) is engaged in a perpetual quest to improve the quality of its
programs and the participation of beneficiary communities in the management of its project cycles. With
this in mind, ACF is constantly strengthening its monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning component
(SERA).
The Cameroon mission has a SERA department made up of multidisciplinary teams that support the
strategic and operational programming of the programs. SERA teams work on
diverse and interconnected themes such as project monitoring; carrying out studies and surveys;
capitalization of lessons learned and experiences; community participation and accountability
to crisis-affected communities. The SERA department is developing a strategy to
strengthen local human capital in order to enhance this profession; its expertise and make it known to young
people wishing to pursue a career in the humanitarian sector. It is with this in mind that a recruitment of one. e
national SERA trainee was launched to integrate the SERA team of the mission.

 

 

Assigned to coordination, the intern will have the opportunity to evolve in an international organization and
learn various themes useful for professional integration in the field of humanitarian aid
and development. The intern will work in close collaboration with the SERA National manager.
II. Responsibilities of the intern:
 Participate and contribute to the development of the mission’s SERA strategy
 Participate in the development of project proposals (logical framework development; calculation of
beneficiaries; etc.)
 Participate in the various SERA forums and other meetings organized in its areas of
competence (AAP group; PSEA cluster)
 Assist the National SERA manager in the conduct of the SERA activities of the mission

DIPLOMAS/LEVEL OF STUDY/EXPERIENCE :
 Education
– University degree (Bac+4/5) dating back no more than 18 months in social sciences or
related disciplines relevant to the position (Monitoring and Evaluation; Statistics; Computer management;
Sociology; Project management; etc.). Master’s level students will be privileged.
– First experience in the environment of international NGOs, or experience not exceeding
1 year.

 Language level
– French compulsory (spoken and written).
– English will be an asset.
– Knowledge of one of the priority languages ​​of our areas of intervention is an asset (Pidjin;
Fufuldé; Mafa; Gbaya).
SKILLS REQUIRED:
– good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word; Excel; Power point).
– Knowledge of the Kobo collect platform is an asset.
RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE
