AFRICA FOOD IMPORT   SA is looking for a WORKS MANAGER

Attached to the Projects Department, the Works Supervisor will be responsible for the organization, monitoring and assessment of a construction site (construction of buildings and warehouses) under the supervision of the Project Engineer.

 

 

 

 

 

ACTIVITIES

–           Supervise and control the construction works of agencies and warehouses belonging to the client or for which it is commissioned by the client;

–          Guarantee the consistency and relevance of the investments   made   and of the operating costs;

–          Coordinate and manage the work to ensure the client   an optimal result in terms of quality, costs and deadlines;

–          Ensure the mobilization of human and technical resources for the entire duration of the works;

–          Supervise and monitor the activities of the teams working on the site;

–          Control the various deliverables by tasks, batch and/for the whole project;

–          Monitor the progress of projects and the level of commitment of project resources;

–          Properly archive all documentation related to the project;

 

 

 

 

–          Participate in the acceptance of the works as well as the administrative procedures (safety commission, hygiene control, compliance of buildings)    ;

–          Ensure the availability of the various tools and means allowing the execution of the work;

–          Work in collaboration with the various external partners (customers, suppliers, administrative services, sub-contractors, etc.) or internal to the company   (design office, management services, site manager);

–          Supervise the execution of the works and control the reports of the site managers;

–          Report on the progress of the work to the site supervisor   and/or the client;

–          Ensure compliance with the specifications during the execution of the works.

 

 

 

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

PROFILE

Academic level: Minimum Bac+3/4 in Civil Engineering or any other equivalent diploma;

Professional experience: 03 years of experience in a similar position.

Minimum age: 30 years old

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

ü   Mastery of the principles of project management;

ü  Mastery of non-destructive and destructive control techniques;

ü  Mastery of the standards and procedures relating to the project to be carried out;

ü  Mastery of the principles and methods of the quality approach;

ü  Mastery of construction techniques civil engineering, electricity, HVAC, and metal engineering;

ü  Mastery of architectural drawing techniques.

 

PERSONALITY TRAITS

ü  Availability and rigor

ü    Analytical spirit and dynamism

ü  Ability to anticipate and sense of teamwork;

ü  Respect for the rules of confidentiality and very good interpersonal skills.
