Job Description
An electrical engineering and renewable energy technician carries out electrical and renewable energy installation and maintenance work in all types of buildings (housing, tertiary, industrial, suburban, renovation, etc.)
Access to employment
- This job/profession is accessible with a BTS in electrical engineering.
- A vocational baccalaureate level diploma to Bac+2 (BTS/DUT) may be requested depending on the sector (home automation, electrical engineering, automation, etc.) and for team management positions.
- An authorization for electrical risks is required.
- Proven professional experience of at least 5 years.
Main tasks
- Performs aerial or underground wiring installation operations for distribution networks (electricity, signals, telephony, video surveillance, access control, etc. ) according to safety and quality rules.
- Can maintain and troubleshoot the various networks from low voltage to very low voltage (transformer, etc.). Can install different types of outdoor lighting (roads, streets, airports, monuments, …).
- Study, design and sizing of photovoltaic solar systems
- Photovoltaic solar installation and maintenance
- Installation and maintenance of electric pumps and submerged solar pumps
Required Skills
- Digging grooves
- Create and lay cable trays and electrical conduits, exposed or recessed
- Position an electrical cabinet of domestic or tertiary premises
- Connecting an electrical cabinet to equipment in domestic or tertiary premises
- Position an industrial electrical cabinet
- Equip an industrial electrical cabinet
- Fasten low voltage elements
- Connect low voltage components
- Wire a hardware
- Power up an electrical installation
- Check an electrical installation
- General construction knowledge
- Proficiency in reading electrical and building plans
- Use of electrical measuring devices
- Live working safety rules and instructions
