Special recruitment notice BIR / GP 2,000 elite commandos: Presidential Guard and BIR Rapid Intervention Battalions

The Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of Defense communicates:

It is brought to the attention of young Cameroonian men, wishing to make a career in the Defense Forces, that a special recruitment of 2,000 elite commandos including 700 for the Presidential Guard and 1,300 for the Rapid Intervention Battalions ( including 100 State Qualified Nurses), will take place from October 21 to December 2, 2023 in the capitals of the administrative regions of origin of the candidates, according to the following conditions: I-CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED BY THE CANDIDATES •

Be
of Cameroonian nationality;
• be at least 18 years old on January 1, 2023 and at most 23 years old on December 31, 2023 (i.e. born between December 31, 2000 for the oldest and January 1, 2005 for the youngest );

– for State Qualified Nurse (IDE) candidates,
• be aged at most 25 on December 31, 2023 (i.e. born between December 31, 1998 for the oldest and January 1, 2005 for the youngest); have never been convicted;
• be single without dependent children; be of good moral character;
• be physically able to pass the prescribed medical, intellectual and sporting tests; hold at least the CEP or FSLC or any other equivalent diploma; however, it is strongly recommended that applicants present their highest qualifications;

– for State Registered Nurse candidates,
• hold a State Registered Nurse Diploma recognized by the Ministry of Public Health;
• have a minimum height of 1.66 meters.

II – COMPOSITION OF THE CANDIDACY FILE
• 01 handwritten application stamped at 1,500 CFA francs, signed by the candidate and addressed to the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence;
• 01 copy of birth certificate less than three months old;
• 01 certified copy of the diploma presented;
• 01 certificate of presentation of the original diploma

– for IDE candidates,
• 01 copy of the diploma and presentation of the original of the IDE diploma;
• 01 extract from criminal record bulletin no. 3 dating from less than three months ago;
• 01 duly completed information sheet;
• 01 celibacy certificate;
• 04 4×4 identity photos of the candidate, with their name on the back
• 01 non-legalized photocopy of the National Identity Card or Receipt;
• 01 certificate of Cameroonian nationality issued by the competent services;
• 01 envelope stamped at 500 CFA francs addressed to the candidate;
• 01 signed curriculum vitae of the candidate;
• a sum of 5,000 (five thousand) CFA francs, representing the costs of participation in recruitment (to be paid during the summary medical examination for suitability);
• a sum of 20,000 (twenty thousand) CFA francs, representing the costs of in-depth medical examinations, to be paid by candidates who have passed the pre-selection tests.

Candidates’ attention is drawn to:
• the obligation to compete only in the capitals of their administrative regions of origin;
• the prohibition to contract a marriage before 03 (three) years of effective service; the obligation to present authentic diplomas or any other official document in lieu thereof, under penalty of legal proceedings.

Furthermore, definitively selected candidates must present the original of their National Identity Card before entering the various Training Centers of the Presidential Guard and Rapid Intervention Battalions, under penalty of dismissal.

Complete application files should preferably be submitted to the Command Posts of the Military Sectors of the administrative Regions of origin of the candidates, or, failing that, in the Command Posts of the Military Sectors of their administrative Regions of residence,from Monday September 04 to Friday October 06, 2023 at 3.30 p.m., strict deadline./ –
