Special Recruitment of 1,800 BIR Commandos
Period: *12 July to 09 August 2025*
Location: Chief-towns of applicants’ administrative Regions of origin.
I. Eligibility Criteria:
Cameroonian male nationals.
Age: 18–23 years (born between 31 Dec 2002 and 1 Jan 2007).
Clean criminal record.
Single with no dependent children.
Good moral standing.
Physically/mentally fit for medical, intellectual, and sports tests.
Minimum education: CEP/FSLC or equivalent (higher certificates advised).
Minimum height: 1.66 meters.
II. Application File Composition:
01 handwritten application with a 1,500 CFA stamp, addressed to the Minister Delegate in charge of Defence.
01 birth certificate (≤3 months old).
01 certified copy of submitted educational certificate.
01 attestation of original certificate presentation.
01 non-conviction certificate (≤3 months old).
01 duly filled information sheet.
01 certificate of celibacy.
Application Requirements for BIR Commando Recruitment
Documents to Submit:
04 passport-size photographs of the applicant, with their name written on the back.
01 unlegalized photocopy of the National Identity Card or Receipt.
01 certificate of nationality issued by competent authorities.
01 envelope with the applicant’s address and a 500 CFA francs postal stamp.
01 signed curriculum vitae by the applicant.
Recruitment fee: 5,000 CFA francs (paid via Express Union agency, with receipt).
Medical exam fee: 20,000 CFA francs (paid by pre-selected candidates only).
Key Notes for Applicants:
Applicants must compete ONLY in the chief-town of their administrative Region of origin.
Marriage is forbidden before completing 3 full years of effective service.
Submit authentic certificates/official documents; forged submissions will lead to rejection and legal action.
Successful candidates must present their original National Identity Card before entering the BIR Training Centre; failure = expulsion.
Submission Details:
Submit applications from Monday, 09 June to Friday, 04 July 2025 (deadline: 3:30 PM).
Preferred submission: Military Sector Command Posts in the applicant’s Region of origin.
Alternative submission: Military Sector Command Posts in their administrative Region of residence.
