Job Description :
We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Director in Douala to continuously improve and optimize all processes.
Responsibilities of the Sales and Marketing Director
Placed under the authority of the Administrator and his Deputy, the Sales and Marketing Director designs the company’s offer strategy. He sets up promotional campaigns and the marketing policy in order to optimize the readability of the offer, the turnover and the profitability of the activity. By evaluating the potential of customers and prospects and by detecting opportunities, he refines the offers, conquers new markets and maintains a high satisfaction rate.
Missions of the Sales and Marketing Director
-
Monitor the evolution of the ecosystem in which brands and products evolve and in particular the practices and positioning of direct and indirect competitors;

Identify and analyze consumer behavior and expectations, as well as economic performance via market research, available data, customer focus, satisfaction indicators;
-
Determine growth opportunities;
-
Collaborate with the teams in charge of plant management, on the improvements to be made and the new offers to be developed;
-
Map customer journeys, define targets and refine market segmentation to adapt the offer and the message;
-
Define the company’s marketing strategy: the objectives, the associated marketing action plans, their specifications, the provisional budget, the performance indicators as well as the marketing mix for each product (product/price/communication plan/ distribution) ;

Select and manage the agency(ies) that will work on the deployment of the marketing strategy;

Supervise the design and production of sales support tools;
-
Design and manage events aimed at optimizing the visibility of the offer and products;
-
Ensure the consistency of marketing actions to provide a consistent customer experience regardless of the entry channel;
-
Measure or have measured the effectiveness and profitability of marketing actions via a management system and relay it to general management;
-
Define commercial objectives (qualitative and quantitative) and sales forecasts;
-
Design and plan strategic orientations and commercial actions in the short, medium and long term to achieve the objectives (identification of priority targets, key interlocutors, contact actions, reminders, etc.);

Define, monitor and analyze budgets and commercial performance indicators;

Represent the company at trade fairs and professional events;

Define and manage the implementation of the various partnerships/sponsorship;

Set individual and collective performance objectives;
-
Identify individual and collective support needs;
-
Provide training and provide technical support to the teams;
-
Federate teams and generate support and motivation;
-
Facilitate the flow of information and interactions between its teams as well as with other departments (production, finance, administration, etc.);

Oversee relationships with key accounts and negotiate strategic contracts;
-
Oversee the development and implementation of the company’s digital strategy.
Required profile:
-
Master’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, Sales or a related field;
-
Have at least 10 years of proven professional experience, including 5 years as Sales and Marketing Director;
-
Good knowledge of management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, allocation of material and human resources);
-
Ability to instill a sense of responsibility and lead by example;
-
Strong skills in team building, people management decision making;
-
Have a strong development potential;
-
Proven experience in developing effective strategies and business plans for all aspects of marketing and communication (branding, product promotion, etc.);

Good understanding of market research and data analysis methods;
-
Ability to apply marketing techniques through digital and non-digital channels;
-
Knowledge of various business disciplines;
-
Proficiency in MS Office and commercial software;
-
Leader with creative and analytical skills;
-
Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and potential customers;
-
Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing critical sales contracts;
-
Ability to work under pressure;
-
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
