Presentation of the NGO:
INSO is an NGO that supports humanitarian access for NGOs by providing reliable and objective analysis, in real time, on local conditions relevant to humanitarian access. INSO improves information sharing and coordination between NGOs for the collective interest while preserving the neutrality of humanitarian aid. INSO works particularly on humanitarian access issues, good practices of information monitoring. INSO provides alerts and recommendations, analysis, accurate contextual, statistical, cartographic data. INSO also organizes coordination meetings and training.
Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe transportation of goods and people to their destination. The driver also takes care of basic administrative management, such as procurement and purchasing. This position reports to the INSO Logistics Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Under the responsibility of the Logistics Assistant, the incumbent is mainly responsible for:
- Conduct staff in accordance with the highway code, traffic laws and regulations of Cameroon;
- Ensure that safe conduct practices are adhered to, including local codes of conduct and internally agreed standards;
- Perform the shopping of the different departments of INSO Cameroon
- Send packages and miscellaneous mail;
- Record trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, etc.;
- Ensure that the vehicle is secure at all times;
- Ensure that the vehicle is subject to regular/daily maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.;
- Ensure that vehicle repairs are carried out correctly according to the official specifications of the manufacturers;
- Provide the necessary support to visitors on arrival and departure at airports
- Ensure the administrative follow-up of the vehicle;
- Participate in inventories and receipts of materials;
- Participate in the unloading and loading of your vehicle;
- Provide logistical support to the various departments of INSO Cameroon;
- Perform other duties recommended by the line supervisor.

Profile sought:
- Hold at least the BEPC or CAP Certificate of Studies
- Hold a category B or C driver’s licence
- Master the defensive driving of vehicles of category BJustifier at least Five years of professional experience including at least 2 years in NGOs, private companies or international organizations
