The Norwegian Refugee Council is looking for 01 Logistics Officer Fleet and Asset as part of its projects in Cameroon .
JOB DESCRIPTION
I – General responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, manuals, guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and donor requirements
- Execute delegated logistics functions in accordance with the action plan
- Carry out daily operational logistics activities and ensure their follow-up
- Contribute to the administration of resources so that deliverables are achieved according to budgets, deadlines and established standards
- Prepare and develop logistics reports following requests from the country/area office
- Contribute to the development of SOPs if necessary
- Ensure proper archiving of all supporting documents
- Promote and share ideas to improve the logistics function
1- Management of the vehicle fleet
- Organize and plan staff travel in the field by air and road
- Ensure compliance with the vehicle management procedure
- Supervise and monitor the overall maintenance of vehicles in conjunction with NRC drivers and the rental vehicle agency
- Ensure that all legal documents and procedures relating to vehicles across the mission are updated
- Ensure the recording of monthly vehicle data from the entire mission fleet in the TERRAMAR software
- Manage the team of base drivers in their daily activities
- Participate in general continuing training for drivers and regularly test their knowledge
- Complete all necessary documents for the transport of goods
- Ensure the archiving of all mission vehicle management documents in OFFICE 365 on a monthly basis
- Provide the line manager with monthly forecasts in terms of vehicle maintenance and all other vehicle-related expenses
- Provide immediate feedback in the event of an incident in and around our work area to the supervisor
- Ensures maintenance of the asset tracking file
- Monitors the movement of mission assets
- Ensures recording and tracking of all mission assets
- Participates in the drafting of donor reports on assets
- Participates in the operational implementation of asset management procedures.
- Take an active part in periodic meetings to plan and review the activities of your department
- Write all weekly and/or monthly reports requested by the team leader or department head within the required deadlines
- List the difficulties encountered on the database and propose solutions for their resolution
QUALIFICATIONS
General professional skills:
- Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Transport or equivalent diploma
- Professional experience as a logistics officer, responsible for transport in a humanitarian context
- Good knowledge of asset management
- Previous professional experience in complex and unstable contexts.
- Proven results on position responsibilities
- Knowledge of English is an asset
- Context-specific skills, knowledge and experiences:
- Results oriented
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, teams and internet
- Know how to speak in front of varied audiences
- Strong writing skills
We offer:
- 12-month fixed-term contract (with possibility of extension depending on availability of funds)
- Salary/Benefits: According to the NRC Cameroon salary scale
- Work location: Yaoundé
- Health insurance: 90%
