INITIAL TRAINING : Baccalaureate +5 in banking, finance, monetary and banking economics, international trade finance
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE : 3 years minimum in the field of trade finance
MAXIMUM AGE : 35 years
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE FOR ACQUIRING THE POSITION
- Mastery of all instruments related to Trade Finance activity
- Good writing skills
- Mastery of OHADA law on securities
- Mastery of the body of rules and uniform customs of international practices in terms of guarantees, stand-by letters of credit and documentary credits in the context of international trade (URDG758, RUU600/ISP98) and, mastery of the exchange regulations in force in the CEMAC

MISSIONS OR REASONS FOR THE POSITION
Placed under the authority of the Head of Treasury and Financing Department, the Trade Finance Executive has the following missions:

- Manage and monitor guarantees and sureties/SBLCs issued and received, import and export documentary credits, amendments and releases;
- Monitor guarantees of all kinds in close collaboration with operational commercial and legal services;
- Monitor and record SBLCs guarantees in the computer system;
- Review the texts of SBLC guarantees and documentary credits as well as the associated contractual clauses/contractual documents prior to any issuance request on behalf of the Group’s Business Lines;
- Analyze and track documents related to documentary credits;
- Support subsidiaries in setting up guarantees issued or received, sureties, SBLCs and documentary credits;
- Analyze and track documents related to documentary credits;
- Analyze the financial risks associated with Trade Finance operations and recommend appropriate security solutions;
- Negotiate pricing conditions with banks and credit insurers;
- Propose process improvement solutions and monitoring tools, write and update applicable procedures;
- Support and raise awareness among internal stakeholders in understanding, apprehension of risk and financial management of international trade activities;
- Write monthly and quarterly reports related to this off-balance sheet activity/commitments; verify and communicate bank charges and monitor commissions linked to guarantees;
- Control and optimize costs linked to the activity; the interface on aspects related to foreign trade financing during internal and external audit missions;
- Monitor and analyze the financial performance of subsidiaries.
