The University of Canterbury offers great facilities for international students who want to pursue education in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It is a Fully Funded Scholarship Program that provides the following benefits;

• The scholarship winner will be given a grant worth $15,000 under the UC Scholarship program.
• The scholarship is paid on account of the student’s university tuition fee.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the UC Scholarship, there are certain terms and criteria that every international student has to fulfill, such as;

• New Zealand nationals are not eligible for the UC Scholarship program.
• If you are a citizen of Australia, you are not eligible to apply for the program.
• If you hold a residence class visa from New Zealand, you are not eligible to apply for the University of Canterbury Scholarship.
• All applicants already enrolled in the BE(Hons) degree program at the University of Canterbury are not eligible to apply for the program.
• All applicants must apply before the closing date of admission to the University of Canterbury under the program of Bachelor of Engineering.

Selection process:

The selection of the candidates for the scholarship program is made in the following manner;

• Academic achievements
• Interest in the faculty of Engineering, cultural, sporting, and community services.
• If not all candidates come under the merit criteria and few scholarships are left, then more slots are available for other candidates.
