Job Purpose/Summary

Latest 7th September 2025

The Mechanic Operator assumes the responsibility for supporting the Pulling Unit team in their operations duties. He has as main role to ensure that the Pulling Unit tools, machinery, equipment and other resources are effectively maintained to properly operate and guarantee optimization of the profitability of the company’s site operations.

Main Mission/Result Area

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform or assist with preventative maintenance when required.
  • Plan and organize the maintenance schedule of Pulling Unit and accessories.
  • Ensure that necessary spare parts are available on site to properly operate Pulling Unit with no standby.
  • Ensure that machines, equipment are clean.
  • Ensure that all equipment and associated products (couplings, rods etc.) are used to their maximum potential, while ensuring their sustainability.
  • Troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical and hydraulic- and diesel-powered equipment.
  • Take personal responsibility and be fully accountable for the achievement of all objectives as outlined.

HSSE Accountabilities

  • Participate in all HSSE intervention schemes (HSSE Reporting cards, Incident reporting, site visits) and awareness sessions (HSSE Meetings, events and trainings) to maintain and improve Company HSSE culture and performance.
  • Understand the emergency procedure and the related requirement.

The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned

Key Challenges

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to all HSSE procedures, and instructions.
  • Ability to multitask and provide assistance when required.
  • Exposed to regular physical plant noises, smells related to repairing and inspecting plant equipment.
  • Convey a professional appearance and attitude continuously.
  • The incumbent will work on 21 / 21 rotation.

Experiences / Competence & Requirements

  • Diploma or qualification in diesel or hydraulics technology or equivalent formal military technical training.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the oil industry.
  • Experience in hydraulic equipment will offer an advantage.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and standards in all daily duties and tasks.
  • Willingness to work in varying conditions.
  • Ability to multitask, assist others when required, and work under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Company Supervisor. Bilingualism will offer an advantage.
  • Fast learners, self-motivated, and independent workers
