RECRUITMENT AND EMPOWERMENT OF YOUTH IN AGRO-INDUSTRY

ENABLE Youth Cameroon is implemented in the 5 regions of intervention of AVC_DP which are the Centre, East, Littoral, South and South-West. The different locations in each region are as follows:

Centre: Yaoundé, Obala, Mbalmayo and Mfou
East: Abong-Mbang and Bouam
Littoral: Bonabéri, Dibombari, Ndoungue, Nkongsamba and Yabassi
South: Ebolowa and Sangmelima
South West: For independent reasons of the project, incubations were not launched in the South West region in 2019

Eligibility criteria for the program
Young people wishing to apply must meet the following criteria:

Nationality
Have Cameroonian nationality
Age
Be between 18 and 35 years old at the application deadline
Level of study
Have a minimum university level BAC + 2 or Advanced Level + 2, regardless of their academic program

Health
Enjoy good health and be physically able
Availability
Be available during the 12 months of the incubation period and participate daily in the different activities according to the incubation schedule, unless written authorization is granted by the YABIC coordinator in collaboration with the technical coordinator of Enable Youth Cameroon Experience

An
experience proven professional in the agro-pastoral or agri-food sector, particularly in agri-business, would be an asset

Constitution of the file
1. Photocopy of the highest diploma or transcript of marks
2. A Curriculum Vitae of 2 pages maximum (template to be downloaded from www.enableyouthcameroon.iita.org), including experience in or with the agro-industry if necessary applicable
3. A short letter (maximum one page) of motivation

5. Photocopy identity card or certificate of nationality
6. Medical examination certificate.

NB: Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected at any stage of the selection process. In addition, files containing erroneous information will also be automatically rejected, at any stage of the selection process if detected in time, and will result in immediate exclusion from the program if detected later. No applications will be accepted after March 31, 2023

Recruitment process
The recruitment process will be carried out by following the steps below

Step 1
Receipt of applications (March 1 to 24, 2023)
Step 2
Online entrepreneurial test, the link of which will be sent to candidates who have submitted their file correctly (25 to 31 March 2023)
Step 3
Oral interviews (April 1 to 14, 2023)
Step 4
Communication of results and some incubation conditions (April 17 to 24, 2023)

Step 4
Confirmation of interest (April 25 to 30, 2023)
Step 6
Assignment to incubation centers (YABIC): May 1 to 07, 2023
Step 7
Start date of the one-year incubation: May 15, 2023 (effective presence in the respective YABICs)

NB: Only candidates selected for oral interviews will be contacted by e-mail. The date and place of the interview will also be communicated to them by e-mail. It is the full responsibility of candidates to provide the recruitment team with a valid email address and to regularly check their emails at least every 48 hours, including the spam section. The recruitment team will not be responsible for missed deadlines by any given candidate. It is important to note that no other means will be used to communicate directly with applicants, although general information may be posted on the project website (www.enableyouthcameroon.iita.org) and on social media, among others.
