Job Title: Child Protection Data Clerk
Location: 3 Positions. 2 based in Yaoundé and 1 in Buea
Project: Barry Callebaut Case Management Project
Reporting to: MEAL Program Officer

Duration: 12 months
Background:

We pride ourselves with being willing to go to the world’s toughest places where others won’t, including remote, hard-to-reach areas and fragile, disaster-affected states across sub-Saharan Africa, South America, the Middle East and South Asia. Since 2008 we have helped over 250,000 children to go to school and learn and supported over 25,000 families to set up businesses so they can afford the cost of educating their children.
Under the overall responsibility of the Country Director, with oversight from the Head of Programs and under the direct supervision of the MEAL Program officer, the Child Protection Data Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the case management team by ensuring accurate and timely data entry into the Child Rights Monitoring and Reporting System (CRMRS). The Data Clerk will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, and supporting the overall effectiveness of child protection interventions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Entry and Management
Accurately enter case information into the CRMRS, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Update and maintain electronic and paper-based case files.
Assist in the development and maintenance of data tracking systems.
2. Data Quality Assurance
Conduct regular data audits to identify and correct errors.
Collaborate with caseworkers to verify and validate case information.
Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality protocols.
3. Reporting and Documentation
Generate routine and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of statistical summaries and data visualizations.
Maintain organized records of data reports and related documentation.
4. Capacity Building and Support
Provide training and support to case management staff on data entry procedures.
Stay updated on CRMRS functionalities and updates.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in data management is an asset.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry or administrative support, preferably in a child protection or social services context.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Fluency in French and English.
Desirable:
Experience with child protection case management systems (eg, CPIMS+).
Knowledge of child protection principles and data confidentiality standards.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.

Working Conditions:
Regular working days for Street Child Offices are Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 AM to 5:30PM with an hour lunch break
