Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
- Review of specific transactions with monetary impact
- Bank reconciliation for debit lines
- Analyse and update parties on Invoices and Payments with issues
- Reconciliation of Key Vendors Statement of Accounts
- Manual capitalizations – Monthly capitalizations of CAPEX acquisitions out of the EAM standard workflow
- Reconciliation between Project Accounting and Project Execution and ensure projects executed and completed are interfaced into system
- Engagement with Project Management Office (Project Managers), Obtain all proof of project completion prior any interface into the system
- Attend to internal and external audit requests and provide any requested document on time
- Analyse and update decommissioning provision on monthly both Corporate and Tax Books
- Monthly analysis and reconciliation of LCM account and suggest appropriated actions for corrections
- Monthly accruals of CAPEX delivered under manual PO and/OR not received in the system
- Perform monthly Capex Additions analysis and Reconcile/Align with SSH by 4th of each month
- CWIP Accounts Reconciliation – Monthly reconcile Projects interface report with GL accounts
- Disposals Recons – Monthly reconcile the retirement report with approved disposal request of the period and the accounts
- Quarterly Assets assessment for useful life, rate and category review
- Fully Depreciated Assets analysis and useful life Review
- Physical Inventory Management
- Perform monthly depreciation forecast report for Budget or as per request
- Account Reconciliation for Payables and EAM Accounts
- Quarterly Board Paper update for EAM section
- CAPEX utilization Report – Capex commitments and capitalization
- Roll Forward – Additions: Analyse and segregate fresh additions from transfer, FAR Reclass and Operation reclass (From Inventory to CWIP, from CWIP for Asset Cost accounts) / Ensure monthly Roll Forward is drafted and Reconciled/Aligned with SSH by 4th of each month
- OHADA – Monthly reconciliation between Fixed Assets Register tax book and Corporate, Quarterly submission of the tax tables for Fixed Assets – Support on quarterly and annual tax Declaration
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of 3 years university degree in Commerce/Finance or relevant field
- Fluent in English and language of country preferable
Certifications (in either one or more of the following):
- IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in; Accounting
- Experience in supervising others is an advantage
- Experience working in a medium organization
- Proven Experience in the service management of business operations, change / transformation (Corporate Performance Management) advantageous
- Deep knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices (Corporate Performance Management)
- Knowledge about leading practices and trends in Management Reporting and Corporate Performance Management.
- Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets advantageous).
- Strong understanding and knowledge of SYCOHADA
- Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and MS Office (Word, Excel-advanced, and Outlook)
- Telecommunications / service industry context
- Pan Africa multi-cultural experience will be preferable
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
- Knowledge of MTN Business environment, policies and MTN Cameroon’s Business Plan/priorities is a must

- Executive Role: Specialists in all aspects of people management. High-level input at a strategic level into all key business decisions.
- Audit Role: Ensures all areas of the organization are compliant with legal requirements AND best practice employment policies and procedures.
- Facilitator Role: Close partnership to support, advise and extend the ability of all areas of the organization to meet their objectives through the implementation of highly effective employment practices in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Reward systems, Performance Management, Health and Wellbeing.
- Consultancy Role: Provide expert advice to the organization and it’s managers on any aspect of workforce management and employee relations and performance.
