DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER
CALL FOR INTERNAL/EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF TWO (02) ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANTS FOR THE PROJECT PROMOTION OF GENDER TRANSFORMATION APPROACHES FOR STRENGTHENING THE RESILIENCE OF CIVIL SOCIETY IN CAMEROON, IN PARTICULAR IN THE NORTHWEST AND SOUTHWEST (SoCiG) REGIONS OF DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT FÜR INTERNATIONALE ZUSAMMENARBEIT (GIZ/SoCiG) GmbH BASED IN DOUALA AND BAFOUSSAM
General context
To strengthen the social and economic participation of women, the objective of the Project (SoCiG) is “Civil society organizations committed to gender equality have made a more effective contribution to the equal social and economic participation of population of Cameroon, particularly in the North-West and South-West regions. “.
The project intervention areas are all of Cameroon (component I, Output 1), particularly the North-West and South-West (component II, Output 2 to 4).
This project, whose coordination is based in Yaoundé, has an antenna in the Littoral Region and an antenna in the West region. As part of the implementation of its activities, SoCiG is looking for two administrative assistants and cashiers
- Area of responsibility and responsibilities
Under the supervision of the senior finance manager, administrative assistants and cashiers are mainly responsible for:
• Ensure the maintenance and management of the cash register;
- Withdraw cash from the bank and restock the cash register;
• Manage cash flow needs, as well as supply requests; • Ensure cash payments;
- Verify and ensure timely transaction entries in the Cashbook;
- Support the management of receivables;
- Ensure the monthly closing of the fund
• Ensure the logistical organization of meetings, workshops and other events; • Ensure the monthly classification of cash documents according to the GIZ classification system; • Support the preparation of internal and external audits of the branch; • Develop requests for quotation for workshops and events; • Carry out other activities and tasks on the instructions of your superior • Contribute to the analysis of pro-forma; • Organize the purchases of small office supplies and other small materials for the project according to the rules and GIZ procedures in this area; • Contribute to the inventory of the branch’s goods and equipment; • Ensure the interim administration and logistics assistant, and the accountant in the event of his absence.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Required Qualifications
• Diploma: BAC + 3 in the fields of finance, marketing, management, accounting or other equivalent field; • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position, • Excellent interpersonal skills and calm character • Good sense of work organization, • Proven experience in organizing workshops and seminars; • Proven experience in holding and cash management; • Bilingual French and English • Knowledge of IT tools, Office package software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), • Be able to work under pressure and in a multicultural team; • Knowledge of accounting software (WINPACCS, CASHBOOK);
Contract start date : May 1, 2024
Contract period : 2 years renewable
Duty station : Douala (1), Bafoussam (1)
Internal classification of the position: Band 2A, under the hierarchical supervision of the Project Manager
