DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER

CALL FOR INTERNAL/EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF (02) JUNIOR ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL EXPERTS FOR THE PROJECT PROMOTION OF GENDER TRANSFORMATION APPROACHES FOR STRENGTHENING THE RESILIENCE OF CIVIL SOCIETY IN CAMEROON, IN PARTICULAR IN THE NORTHWEST AND SOUTHWEST (SoCiG) REGIONS OF DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT FÜR INTERNATIONALE ZUSAMMENARBEIT (GIZ/SoCiG) GmbH IN YAOUNDÉ AND BAFOUSSAM.

 

  1. Context

 

To strengthen the social and economic participation of women, the objective of the Project (SoCiG) is “Civil society organizations committed to gender equality have made a more effective contribution to the equal social and economic participation of population of Cameroon, particularly in the North-West and South-West regions. “.

The project intervention areas are all of Cameroon (component 1), particularly the North-West and South-West (component 2).

This project, whose coordination is based in Yaoundé, is composed of an English-speaking component and a French-speaking component. The project has branches in all regions of Cameroon.

 




 

  1. Area of ​​responsibility

As part of your role, you handle the commercial, organizational, administrative and management tasks entrusted to you, after prior consultation with your line manager. You handle the questions and missions entrusted to you in compliance with all legal requirements, contractual stipulations, social regulations and company policy as well as the instructions of your hierarchical superior and ensure the follow-up of their management or their execution. You contribute to the good cooperation of all internal and external stakeholders concerned in your area of ​​responsibility and to the smooth transmission of information.

 

Under the direction of the Senior Finance Manager and the supervision of the SoCiG Administrative and Financial Officer, the Junior Administrative and Financial Officer will be in charge of the following tasks:

 

 

  • Maintain SoCiG cash registers using the WINPACCS Cashbook program;
  • Maintain SoCiG Bank Cashbooks ;
  • Control, process, present and classify supporting documents;
  • Prepare cash supplies based on forecasts;
  • Daily updating of cash and bank books;
  • Develop cash protocols and bank reconciliations;
  • Prepare monthly accounting (verification, signature, payment and coding of supporting documents);
  • Prepare cash checks;
  • Monitor the regularization of receivables and debts;
  • Calculate advances and settlements for mission expenses inside and prepare request files for advances and settlements for missions outside Cameroon;
  • Prepare budgets and release sheets for workshops;
  • Take care of the payment of participants (workshops) and process the supporting documents in a compliant manner;
  • Support for the management of debts and receivables;
  • Implementation of recommendations resulting from the accounts processed by the Regional Office/regularization of supporting documents;
  • Update rankings/archiving;
  • Prepare amendments to lease contracts if necessary as well as transfers of related charges;
  • Provide support for the satisfactory delivery of services in accordance with GIZ standards and procedures;
  • Check vehicle logbooks and maintain fuel consumption records;
  • Process/calculate vehicle usage costs and internal invoices;
  • Assume all other administrative and financial tasks.

 




 

PROFILE REQUIRED

Qualifications:

  • Have Bac+5 in Accounting, Finance, Management Control or other equivalent diploma;
  • Have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position;
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have good analytical skills/quality-oriented work
  • Have excellent thinking and work organization skills
  • Have a developed awareness of the principle of integrity
  • Have a team spirit, a constructive attitude and a good ability to manage conflicts
  • Be proactive, able to work under pressure and in a multicultural team
  • Good adaptability, flexibility and ability to learn quickly
  • Good command of the French/English language
  • Good knowledge of IT tools (office pack: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), mastery of WINPACCS, CASHBOOK accounting software is an asset

 

 

Availability date: 01.05.2024

Deadline for admissibility of application files: 03.30.2024

Contract period: 2 years renewable

Place of assignment: 1 post in Yaoundé; 1 position in Bafoussam

Internal classification of the position: Band 3A under the supervision of. RAF Project
