Call for Applications: Build the pool of our future 04 Maintenance Agents – Action Against Hunger – Cameroon

Action Against Hunger is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO),
International, apolitical, non-denominational and non-profit.
For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for:

A MAINTENANCE AGENT FOR THE CONSTITUTION OF OUR POOL
I. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Ensure cleanliness in all areas of the organization in compliance with
hygiene rules.
II. MISSIONS OF THE POSITION
Mission 1: Ensure cleaning inside the office:
 Daily and systematic cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, corridors
(Sweep and wash the floor);
 Dust and clean office furniture, appliances and equipment;
 Clean windows and the refrigerator;
 Wash dishes and fill water tanks;
 Empty the baskets (every day) and change the garbage bags;

water and toilet paper;
 Check the cleanliness of the premises.
Mission 2: Ensure cleanliness outside the office:
 Ensure and monitor daily the major cleaning of the terrace and its surroundings;
 Ensure and monitor daily the stairs;

Reporting base: Yaoundé
Number of positions: 04
Validity of the pool: 12 months
Start date: As soon as the need arises
Line Manager: Deputy HR Department Manager

 Ensure that garbage containers are emptied every week, clean and
disinfect them.
Mission 3: Participate in the management of consumables
 Manage the supply of necessary products (coffee, sugar, tea, etc.) in the morning;
 Monitor stocks of cleaning products and consumables (
toilet paper, soap, etc.);
 Manage the supply of water in water dispensers;
 Keep the kitchen / break area clean and tidy (cleaning utensils,
work surface and coffee maker).
Mission 4: Ensure the maintenance of maintenance equipment and materials
 Report the risk of shortage of maintenance products at least one week before
the stock runs out;
 Systematically alert (immediately) Assistant RDD HR of the request
for intervention;
 Immediately report breakdowns, malfunctions after observation;
 Report his action and report the difficulties encountered.
III. DIPLOMA/LEVEL OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Have the BEPC; or CAP OR Ordinary Levels

 1 year professional experience in the position of Maintenance Agent or similar position
 Having professional experience of at least 01 year in an NGO would be an asset
 Having worked in a multicultural context is an asset.
 Being able to read and express oneself in French.

IV. REQUIRED SKILLS
 Knowledge of: Cleaning in offices – Use of household cleaning products.
 Know-how: Vigilance in handling chemicals (chlorine, etc.)
– Rigor in following hygiene and disinfection rules.
 Soft skills: Good interpersonal skills – Integrity – organizational skills –
communication skills – Discretion – Availability – Reliability – honesty – courtesy –
respect.
 Physical Aptitude: Good physical condition
RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE
The recruitment procedure for maintenance agents at Action Against Hunger includes 4
key stages:
1. A pre-selection based on the submitted file (only candidates whose
skills and experience match the profile described in the offer are

retained for the written test)
2. A written technical test
3. An oral interview
4. A Practical test
