THE MINISTER DELEGATE TO THE PRESIDENCY IN CHARGE OF DEFENSE
ANNOUNCED:

Young Cameroonians of both sexes, wishing to pursue a career in the Defense Forces, are hereby informed 
that a competitive examination for admission to the Joint Military School (EMIA) will be organized on 17 and 18 January 2026 at the single center in Yaoundé, in the following sectors and conditions:

I – GENERAL CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION
Be of Cameroonian nationality;
– be single without dependent child(ren);
– enjoy civil rights;
– be of good moral character;
– have a minimum height of 1.67 meters for boys and 1.60 meters for girls; – be physically fit.
II – SPECIFIC CONDITIONS BY TRUNK
1- TRUNK “A”
(Direct recruitment of civilians holding the Baccalaureate + 1) Number of places: 125
Be at least 18 years old and at most 23 years old (be born between December 31, 2002 and January 1, 2008);

– hold a baccalaureate in all series or a GCE/AL obtained in at least two (02) subjects except religion;
– have successfully completed at least one year of studies in higher education.
2- TRONC “C”
(Direct recruitment of civilians holding a higher education diploma or an engineering diploma)
Number of places: 40
Be at least 18 years old and at most 26 years old (be born between December 31, 1999 and January 1, 2008);
– hold a higher education diploma or an engineering diploma.
3- TRONC “B1”
(Joint Recruitment of Non-Commissioned Officer Personnel holding a Baccalaureate) Number of places: 15
Be at most 30 years old (be born from December 31, 1995);
– hold a baccalaureate in all series or a GCE/AL obtained in at least two (02) subjects excluding religion;
– have a minimum of 5 years of service.
4- TRONG B2(b)”
(Joint Recruitment of Non-Commissioned Officer Personnel holding a higher education diploma or an engineering degree
Number of places: 05
Be aged 32 years at most (be born from December 31, 1993);
– hold a higher education diploma or an engineering degree; – have a minimum of 5 years of service.
5- TRONC D(b)”
(Direct recruitment of civilians holding a doctorate in general medicine, pharmacy, dental surgery, veterinary medicine)
Number of places: 10
Be aged 30 years at most (be born from December 31, 1995);
– hold a doctorate in medicine.
TRONC D(c)” (Direct recruitment of civilian doctors holding a specialty diploma) Number of places: 05 Be aged 35 years at most (be born from December 31, 1995); – hold a doctorate in
medicine.

COMPOSITION OF THE FILE

– 01 A4 envelope stamped at 1500 CFA francs bearing the following handwritten information: name and first names, full address and chosen trunk;
01 handwritten request stamped at 1,500 CFA francs, addressed to the Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of Defense;
– 01 certified photocopy of the birth certificate dated less than 3 months; – 01 certified photocopy of the required diploma;
– 01 certified photocopy of the certificate of success or transcript
of the first year of university studies (candidates of trunk A);
– 01 certificate of presentation of the original of the required diploma;
– for diplomas obtained abroad, an equivalence issued by MINESUP in good and due form;
– 01 curriculum vitae;
– 01 certificate of nationality issued by a competent authority (magistrate);
01 extract from criminal record, bulletin No. 3 dated less than 3 months ago issued by a competent authority (magistrate);
01 certificate of celibacy (civilian candidates);
– 01 reduced file (military candidates);
– 01 cardboard folder;
– 01 information sheet to be collected from the Human Resources Department when submitting the file;
– 04 half 4×4 color photos on a white background without hairstyle.

Candidates will pay, against receipt, to the Human Resources Department (DRH) of the Ministry of Defense a sum of 20,000 CFA Francs (twenty thousand CFA Francs), representing the competition fees.
NB: The diploma presented in the submitted application file will serve, in case of success, as the sole basis for the management of the future Active Officer Cadet.

HOW TO APPLY:
Complete application files will be received in Yaoundé at the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defense no later than Friday, October 31, 2025 at 3:30 p.m./-
