DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA – BEETLE HERITAGE HOLDING Cameroon
Attached to the Information Systems Department (DSI), the DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA) will be responsible for installing, configuring, and ensuring the management, security, performance, and maintenance of the databases used in the company. He will also ensure the availability, integrity, and security of stored data while optimizing their performance. He will work closely with the development and infrastructure teams to ensure the proper management of the databases.

Ensure technological monitoring.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: PROFILE:

Academic level:

Training: Bac +3 to Bac +5 in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent field.
Specific certifications on SAP S4Hana and Microsoft SQL Server databases are very important.
Professional experience (asset):

Professional experience:
2 to 5 years of experience in database administration in a production environment.
Experience in cloud database management (e.g., Oracle, Mysql, etc.) is a plus.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Proficiency in the main database management systems (DBMS): SAP S4Hana, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
Knowledge of database optimization and monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Oracle Enterprise Manager).

Skills in database performance management (indexing, partitioning, denormalization).
Mastery of backup, recovery and high availability techniques (replication, clustering, etc.).
SECURITY SKILLS:

Strong knowledge of database security: access management, data encryption, security auditing under SAP, Mysql, SQO Server.
Mastery of data protection best practices (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.).
PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

Ability to manage database projects, including migrations and system updates.
Skills in managing database priorities and incidents.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Good communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to work in a team, but also to independently manage tasks and priorities.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:

Rigor and organizational skills in managing complex tasks and priorities.
Analytical mind and rapid resolution of technical problems.

Autonomy and the ability to make technical decisions quickly.
Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate future database needs.
Ability to work under pressure, particularly during critical periods (outages, migrations, etc.)
