Since 1998, SOS Children’s Villages Cameroon (SOS VECAM) has been working for
vulnerable children, young people and families, mainly in the Centre and Littoral regions. As
part of a humanitarian pilot project, funded by SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit (HGFD) and benefiting from

With the technical support of the Dakar Regional Office, the organization is now operating in the
Far North region, more specifically in the Mayo-Sava and Mayo-Tsanaga departments. This
integrated project aims to strengthen child protection, improve access to education and support
the development of livelihoods for affected populations. To ensure the
safe mobility of teams and goods and to guarantee preventive maintenance of the vehicle as part of this
project, SOS VECAM is looking, subject to funding approval, for a qualified driver. and experienced who will ensure that all missions are carried out in strict compliance with
organizational procedures and the current security plan.
Duties and responsibilities
Drive teams on missions and carry out errands in town.
Ensure regular vehicle maintenance (washing, checking levels, mechanical condition and
tires).
Monitor repairs, refueling and keep records (LogBook,
maintenance).
Check the validity of documents (insurance, stickers, technical inspection).
Distribute mail and support logistics activities at the request of the manager.
Report any anomalies to the Base Logistician.
Profile and skills
Training and license
Valid “B” driving license
Experience
Minimum 5 years of driving in Cameroon, ideally in Kousseri Experience with
VHF/HF radio Personal
skills
Good physical and visual health

French and Fulfulde required (highly appreciated)
Self-control, integrity, availability and courtesy
Have a valid “D” license
Knowledge of intervention areas and local languages
