Missions:

• Identify and monitor the evolutions of the main intervention sectors;
• Follow the evolutions of the cited themes and collect and exploit data and other publications touching the evoked sectors;
• Critical analysis of reports and studies from consultants and drafting of reflection works, studies, and other progress reports;
• Advise portfolio managers on risks related to projects and propose mitigation and reduction measures;
• Ensure in concert with the Bureau Direction all thematic, administrative, and logistical tasks necessary to fulfill the mission;
• Ensure monitoring and information on current evolutions in the sector, as well as in the environment of donors and other actors;
• Conduct the monitoring of indicators and sectoral figures, communicate with partners, donors, and other actors in the sectors;
• Support the preparation of intergovernmental consultations and negotiations.

Skills/Responsibilities: Job Profile:

• Hold a university diploma in Development, Environment, Natural Resources Management, Geography, Social Science, etc.);
• University diploma in a relevant field (development, environment, natural resources management, geography, social science, etc.);
• Significant professional experience in project management for development, ideally in natural resources management and rural development;
• Mastery of French and English, oral as well as written. Knowledge of German is an asset;
• Excellent skills in communication and interpersonal relations;
• Capacity to work in an autonomous manner and to manage several tasks simultaneously in an efficient, flexible, and agile way;
• Proactively engage in different work processes and propose improvements;
• Knowledge of financing and implementation processes for development projects.
