Action Against Hunger is an international,
apolitical, non-denominational and non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for:
AN HR ARCHIVIST INTERN
I. CONTEXT
Action Against Hunger (ACF) is engaged in a perpetual quest to improve transparency through
the quality of the classification of personnel documents.
The Human Resources department is responsible for ensuring the preservation of documents and
guaranteeing the accessibility of information and documents relating to human resources over the long term,
in compliance with legal obligations. It is also responsible for securing evidence in the event
of disputes, optimizing the process and developing skills. In short, the dematerialization of
HR documents has many advantages such as reducing the risk of loss, facilitating
access and sharing, protecting the environment and compliance with standards.
Assigned to the HR department of the office, the intern will have the opportunity to evolve in an
international organization and learn various procedures useful for professional integration in the field of
humanitarian aid and development. It will also be a way to strengthen the human resources
available in terms of archiving and to carry out specific and one-off tasks. The intern will work
in close collaboration with the HR officer of the Yaoundé office of Action Against Hunger in Cameroon.
II. INTERN DUTIES
1. Physical archiving
– Check the completeness of individual staff files.
– Classify, sort and organize HR documents according to a validated filing plan.
– Update the inventory of physical archives.
2. Digital archiving
– Scan and index staff documents.
– Ensure electronic filing according to a defined nomenclature.
– Participate in the implementation of a digital monitoring and consultation system.
3. Administrative support
– Support the HR team in the quality control of personnel files.
– Participate in the development of document monitoring tools (dashboards, databases).
– Propose improvements to optimize the existing archiving system.
III. INTERN INTERVENTION AREAS
The intern’s place of assignment is Yaoundé.
IV. PROFILE
Required Diploma / Training
University degree in archiving or documentary information science or executive secretarial studies
;
Professional training or certification in archiving;
Experience in archives management is an asset.
Required skills:
Computer skills
Fluency in written and spoken French.

Sense of confidentiality
Technical knowledge: good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word; Excel; Power point)
