DIRECTOR FOR NEXGEN ACADEMY
NexGen is a technology training center which seeks to address the digital gap in providing
marketable skills to its clients by providing top notch training in various IT related fields.

Context
We are searching for an education director to develop new curricula across a range of
disciplines in our institution. The education director must be committed to improving
teaching practices through collaboration with staff, community members, and students.
You should be able to use new and existing resources to ensure student needs are met,
and educational goals are achieved. You will authorize textbook acquisitions and, on
occasions, be tasked with writing your own educational materials.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Under the supervision of the CEO and consultant, you should be up to date with
pedagogical theories and developments in education. Should have superb people skills
and be confident in engaging individuals from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.
You should be energetic, passionate, and able to clearly communicate objectives.
ESSENTAIL DUTIES:
• Developing new curricula with the help of teachers, students, and other staff.
• Networking and building professional relationships with members of the institution
and the community.
• Monitoring the progress of new and existing teaching methods.
• Closely evaluating results at the end of each quarter and writing up progress
reports.
• Supervising all faculty recruitment and vetting prospective teachers.
• Identifying areas for improvement and scheduling workshops for new and existing
staff.
• Conducting research and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals or other
publications.
• Providing administrative support services such as accounting, billing, and payroll
processing.
• Administering and coordinating academic programs, such as designing curricula
and teaching classes.
• Overseeing admissions processes and procedures to ensure that all students meet
admissions standards.
• Developing and implementing academic policies, procedures, and standards for
faculty members and students to follow.
• Reviewing student records to ensure compliance with school policies, procedures,
and standards.
• Working with students individually or in groups to help them succeed academically
• Work with MinSup and other stakeholders on the provisioning of current and future
accreditations and partnership agreements.
REQUIREMENTS.
• Minimum of Master’s degree with several years of experience in education
administration or a related field, PhD preferred even with fewer years of
experience.
• Teaching certification and previous teaching experience.
• The ability and patience to draft several documents and policies.
• The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• First-class organizational skills.
• The ability to use tact and diplomacy in interactions with all relevant stakeholders.
• A strong ethical code.
• Maintain a positive attitude and be open to feedback.
• The ability to pay attention to details.
• Must posses very strong leadership and problem solving skills.
