CONTRACT PERIOD: 1 year, beginning from October 1st 2022

PLACE: Yaounde CONTRACT TYPE: CDD TRIAL PERIOD: 3 Months Renewable after evaluation. Specific roles will include the following • Analyze and support data visualizations of routine program data with the M&E team for weekly reviews, and monthly and quarterly reports • Analyze select program data across the HIV services cascade to understand better service uptake, barriers, and reasons for high performance or low performance across key PEPFAR indicators (ie high vs. low HIV testing uptake, reasons for effective or ineffective linkage to treatment, high loss to follow-up versus high retention rates, etc.)

• Support the development and drafting of abstracts for key regional and global conferences and papers
• Perform complementary data collection and analysis from developed operational research concepts for the capture of best practices and identification of strong points for potential scale up etc as well as identification of weak spots and proposal of remediation strategies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual activity and performance reports for the CHILL project using analytical reasoning to underline key talking points in project performance with the intention to improve performance in subsequent programmatic periods.
• Support the development and/or review of presentations, ad hoc reports, and success stories using a data-driven approach

 

• Participate in gathering information from local partners and/or beneficiaries for internal and external sharing in line with project implementation experience, success stories and/or satisfaction with services rendered and testimonies where appropriate for amelioration of project performance as well as project popularity at the level of international stakeholders.
• Depending on the changing needs of the project, duties may include active collaboration with the SI Advisor in all M&E activities as well as conduct routine data quality assessments of new and existing data sources in all CHILL project sites and propose recommendations where appropriate for data quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with and interest in data analysis and visualizations (ie databases and graphical representations of data using, for example, MS Excel or SPSS);
• Master’s degree in a relevant field (PhD degree preferred, or in the process of obtaining a doctorate);
• Comfort working with a diverse team on projects related to human rights, stigmatized populations, and sexual minorities;
• Willingness and ability to work under tight deadlines;
• Interest in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care among at-risk populations;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office suite;
• Ability to lead processes with increasing responsibility;
• Self-motivation to learn new approaches and innovations;
• English fluency preferred, though not required;
