Job Description

How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

The M&E Manager is a member of the SI&E Department, and is responsible for the main following tasks :

Organize and monitor the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation activities within the program;

 

 

Provide support to Associate Program Directors and technical advisors in monitoring and evaluating project performance;
Ensure the implementation of good Monitoring and Evaluation practices by ensuring compliance with the implementation of standards;
Collaborate with the Districts, the Region and the RTGs within the framework of strengthening the health information system;
He will be in charge of coaching, mentoring and managing all staff in the M&E department in the region.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role?

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

Centralize standard documents defining the standards for implementing monitoring and evaluation activities and ensure their consistent application;
Ensure the interface in terms of Monitoring and Evaluation between the Ministry, other partners and EGPAF;
Prepare and conduct all Data Quality Supervision activities;
Identify staff training needs in monitoring and evaluation and coordinate capacity building;

 

Coordinate data collection, sharing and use activities;

 

Participate in meetings, supervisions with the donor and headquarters;
Contribute to the implementation of valorization activities that could lead to publications or presentation at conferences;
Respond to requests from technical teams, the lessor and Headquarters;
Carry out any other tasks assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

To be successful, you will have:

Degree of statistician engineer or informatician engineer with experience in public health domain or degree of MPH in epidemiology or public health;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (required) Minimum 8 years’ experience in the area of monitoring and evaluation, and/or health program planning, management and evaluation and health research

Ability to travel domestically in Cameroon approximately 50% of the time.
Previous experience of M&E of infectious disease

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Demonstrated expertise working within multi-cultural and multi-national teams in developing countries, including with Ministries of Health and/or other implementing partners;
Demonstrated expertise in providing targeted technical assistance on various M&E themes of public health programs
Demonstrated expertise in developing databases and dashboards
Strong and demonstrable proficiency in Power bi, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, required
Proven ability to work effectively as member of dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, very demanding.
