About the job offer
The RESPONSIBILITY project: Strengthening social and health services for HIV prevention and treatment, equitable and accessible (AID 012596/02/2); is an initiative of Vento di Terra in partnership with Organization for Health Development (OHD) under funding from the Agenzia Italiana per la cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) within the framework of Technical Support Spending to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The 24-month initiative aims to strengthen the impact, capacity, accessibility and inclusiveness of socio-health services in response to HIV both in terms of prevention and medical treatment and follow-up, in the Menoua department, in the West region of Cameroon.

Organization for Health Development (OHD), is looking for two Drivers for the successful implementation of the planned activities.

Project name: RESPONSIBILITY – STRENGTHENING SOCIO-HEALTH SERVICES FOR HIV PREVENTION AND EQUITABLE AND ACCESSIBLE TREATMENT

1. Project Context
 The “RESPONSIBILITY” project aims to strengthen socio-health services for HIV prevention and to ensure equitable and accessible treatment for affected people. This project, funded by Agenzia Italiana per la cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) under the Technical Support Spending to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, extends over a period of 24 months and takes place in the Department of Menoua.

2. Project Objectives

 · Strengthen the capacities of local socio-health structures.

· Improve access to HIV prevention and treatment services.

· Promote equity in access to care.

· Raise awareness in the community on HIV-related issues.

 3. Job Objective
 The driver will be responsible for supporting and accompanying operational teams in the implementation of mobile activities. He or she will work closely with the project team, partners and stakeholders.

4. Responsibilities
Drive the mobile unit (mobile clinic) for HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness activities in rural and urban areas of the Menoua department
Ensure vehicle maintenance and upkeep
Comply with road safety rules and the organization’s procedures
Maintain administrative documents related to the vehicle

Participate in the logistical planning of team travel
Encourage the team in loading/unloading equipment

JOB SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS

DRIVER

 Valid driving license B, minimum 2 years of driving experience

Good knowledge of the roads of the Menoua department

Driving experience in rural areas

Practical notions of automobile mechanics (CONSIDERABLE ASSET)

Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills

Discretion, punctuality and rigor

Mastery of local languages ​​would be an asset

 Contract duration: 12 months

Work location: Base in Dschang, travel in the Menoua department.

Schedule and presence: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Desired start period: March – April 2025.
