JOB OFFERS: QHSE Engineer – AER RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY, Yaoundé
Under the authority of the Head of Mission, the QHSE Engineer will have the task of planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and controlling all activities related to Quality, hygiene, Health and the Environment of the project in particular :
Ensure the implementation of the general policy of the Control mission in order to achieve the strategic objectives;
Represent the Public Project Manager in all instances falling within its field of activity;
Define internal objectives, guide, plan and motivate human resources in achieving these objectives;
Ensure compliance with the requirements of companies and its subcontractors as well as the Project Owner in terms of quality; environment and worker health and safety;
Manage complaints and claims from companies and its subcontractors in a systematic and clear manner within ICS required deadlines;
• Organize working visits with different companies and communicate about the services and listen to their needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Diploma in QHSE Management or any equivalent diploma (Minimum BA 5
• At least two (02) years of experience in the field of quality control of infrastructure projects;
• At least two (02) references relevant in the field of I ua te and the safety of works in the energy sector;
• At least two (02) years of general experience in development projects;
• Having carried out QHSE work including the control of industrial risks, the implementation of preventive actions, studies and various diagnoses, as well as the establishment of a ystu:pe e management in Health and Safety at Work;
• Good use of office applications jque ord, Excel, Power point) as well as messaging and internal tools
• Perfectly master one of the languages used and have a good practical knowledge of the second.
COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION FILE
Candidates, for each position mentioned above, must produce a file containing the documents below dating from less than three (03) months:
l. A handwritten and stamped application for application addressed to the Director General of the Rural Electrification Agency, BP: 30704 Yaoundé bearing the full name, postal address, telephone number and email address of the candidate,
2. A detailed curriculum vitae (CV) signed by the candidate accompanied by proof of qualification and professional experience (Diplomas, Certificates, certificates etc.) with indication of references (surnames/first names, telephone/fax and email) institutions and documents supporting the experience;
3. Photocopies of the required diplomas or certificate of achievement and other documents demonstrating skills/qualifications;
4. A motivation note indicating the candidate’s reasons and strengths
5. Copies of work certificates or employment contracts
6. Photocopy of the National Identity Card
APPLICATION SELECTION PROCEDURES
Incomplete applications will be immediately rejected and no missing documents will be forwarded subsequently; selected candidates may be asked to provide original diplomas or certificates for the experiences and qualifications which led to their Prequalification.
For candidates with a complete application file, the selection will be made in two phases:
4.1 The first prequalification phase
The first phase will consist of a pre-selection or pre-qualification based on file study.
The evaluation of applications will be based on:
Examination of the content of the application file for an evaluation of administrative compliance. Any missing element will be exclusion criteria.
.2. The technical evaluation of candidates will be carried out in accordance with the following grid:
Presentation of the file: 05 points
Motivation (max 1 page): 15 points
Basic training: 20 points
General training: 20 points
Specific training: 40 points
TOTAL 100 points
The minimum technical score required to participate in the interview is 75 points out of 100. The information received on the aptitude and other qualities of the candidates will be verified with the references indicated (NB: the AER reserves the right to contact any administration and/or structure mentioned in the CV, to verify the authenticity of the information on the skills/qualities of the candidates; even if this structure is not cited as a reference).
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT AND PLACE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
Applications must be submitted (in a sealed envelope) to the AER Mail Office, located in the Bastos district, Yaoundé, Rue du ROTARY, Tel./Fax 222 212 384 / 222 212 381, against discharge no later than February 8, 2024 at 3 p.m.
Any application received after the submission deadline will not be taken into account.
